Couches and floor and sheets were dirty , the carpets are not!!! There any more, the neighbor had a super loud and mean dog next door that would bark all night

I want to start by saying, communication was superb and we truly had a good stay. That being said I think it's important for future travelers to know this is an older building. With that comes it's own unique features. Such as uneven floors, narrow stairways, and (in an extreme heatwave) the central air cannot keep up. All things typical of older buildings. None of these things are deal breakers for me, but if you like an immaculate, modern experience this won't be the place for you. It wasn't dirty but it wasn't pristine either. Think more along the lines of the apartment you had when you first moved out of your parent's house. It was cute, and you were happy to have a place of your own, but it wasn't your dream place. The location was great for all the things we wanted to do during our stay and parking was never an issue. There are 4 units in the building, but we really didn't hear sounds from the others, so there is that.

Out of the 11 days that I was here, the hot water did not work for TEN days. I had to shower with freezing cold water in the mornings and when I got back from work in the evenings. The hot water did not work in the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or the shower. I told the host about it immediately, and they said that they sent a technician to come by and assess the water heater situation three times. I was in the unit when the technician came for one of those times; he entered the unit twice and did not tell me anything when he left--I did not even see him test the water after he supposedly fixed the problem. The host was nice enough to allow me to shower in one of their other available units downstairs but this was a serious inconvenience. I was there alone but what if I had my family with me? I really hope that no one else has had to deal with this. The host said they'd give me some sort of compensation, but I have yet to hear back from them about this. I had high expectations for this unit, but I was significantly disappointed in the turnout.
