The interior could do with some refreshment as it seems to be the same as when we were at the property nearly 30 years ago! There was also a smell of damp in one of the downstairs bedrooms but the family was ok with it for a week.」

It’s rather out of the way, so make sure you check the map and driving times, but if you’re okay with the location, you should definitely stay here. Beautifully secluded with plenty of ground around the house and acres of exploring along the lake shore.
