Serenity Penthouse, Lalzit Bay, Albania

Escape to this stylish penthouse, in the Perla Resort, next to San Pietro Beach on Lalzit Bay! This airy apartment makes the perfect holiday base for family or friends. On the 3rd floor with a spacious balcony, the apartment can sleep up to 7 people.

The apartment’s contemporary furniture creates a stylish open-plan living area. There is a sofa and a large, flat-screen TV, with French windows opening out onto the balcony. The dining space has a modern table and is next to the breakfast bar, which separates the kitchen from the rest of the space. The modern kitchen is well-equipped, with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher, Moka coffee maker and fridge/freezer.

The private balcony is partly shaded over the dining area. Here guests can enjoy meals al fresco at a wooden dining table. There is an attractive seating area with a large sofa, and 2 sun loungers where guests can relax in peace.

Children will particularly enjoy the resort’s large swimming pool (additional fee). Adults can relax on sun loungers by the pool whilst the children play in the water. The resort also has tennis and basketball courts (additional fee) as well as a bar and supermarket on site. There are sunbeds and parasols available on the beach, for a daily fee. On the seafront, by the resort, guests will find a range of restaurants and bars.

Bedroom 1: The airy master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and glass doors out to the balcony.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom also has a double bed, wardrobe and doors onto the balcony.
Bedroom 3: This cosy bedroom has two single beds and a wardrobe.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts to an additional single bed.

The apartment has separate bathrooms, each with a shower, a basin and WC.

Location
Lalzit Bay is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Albania. It is known for its child-friendly beach, good restaurants and bars. More active guests can enjoy scuba diving, jet-skiing, water-skiing and a children’s playground. For self-catering there are several good supermarkets close by, as well as some smaller shops.

There is plenty for visitors to do away from the coast, with many charming hill towns. Kruje (1 hour) is home to 5th-century Kruje Castle, as well as Kruje Bazaar which dates back to the 17th century. Here you can find authentic Albanian carpets, textiles and ceramics. There are also hiking routes in the surrounding mountains which range from the easy to the challenging. Adults will also enjoy a tour of Duka Winery and Vineyard (15-minute drive) which includes wine tasting and a fine lunch.

Tirana is a 45-minute drive and makes a great day trip. It is an eclectic mix of Ottoman, Soviet and Fascist architecture. The city is easy to explore on foot. Blloku is an exciting, young area, full of cafés and interesting boutiques. The main square – Skanderbeg Square is a must-see. The city’s markets offer a window into everyday life. The New Market, Pazari Ri offers a wide range of local produce.

Tirana International Airport is just a 40-minute drive from the apartment.
