「The cabin is new with retro-style decor. As we entered, we were pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. It was fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. It’s located in a nice spot. Aaron is knowledgeable, and he provided detailed information about the places to visit in Acadia. The personal touch makes a difference. They serve breakfast with homemade pastries—yum! 」

「This property was perfect for our family of five! Comfortable beds and everything was very neat and clean. Would not hesitate to book this place again! It was so helpful to have laundry detergent provided, as well as things like ziplock baggies. It's the little details that makes places so nice to stay in! The only thing to add would be an electric water kettle for the tea drinkers. 」

「This cabin is perfect for a small family with a car. It’s in the middle of everything. It’s a basic house but has everything you need- nice hot shower, cooking utensils, camp fire, etc. I still dream of the naps we had on the sofa. The surroundings are peaceful with lots of deer strolling by. 」

「Amazing spot! Simple, quiet, with a sprinkle of local lobster boats humming by. Perfect weather highlighted the sky, the water and the sunsets. I put away the phone (unreliable internet) opened up a good book, visited the nearby sand beach for a cold plunge, and took in some local theater. This place is a gift for the soul. 」

「This is a spectacular property overlooking the tidal Benjamin River, seen through the huge windows in the livingroom as well as from a nice outdoor deck, patios and expansive lawn with Adirondack chairs. The beds were super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, and it was very convenient to get to Deer Isle, Blue Hill and all the other nearby towns. Highly recommended!」

「Tucked away off the road, in a great location on the "quiet side", away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Easy access as a home base to explore Acadia and all the island has to offer. Had a great time visiting Maine on our family vacation!」

「We were a large group of extended family and everyone was happy with the house. The game/TV room was a great bonus for the teenagers, during our down time. We enjoyed the firepit and having a kitchen to make meals. 」

「We don't want to leave! Whale's Tail is comfortable and quiet. The bed is so comfortable that I just want to stay there. My back didn't bother me at all on this trip and I credit the bed. The views are fantastic from every window. Out front is the bay, but out every other window is green, making the cottage feel private.」

Eric is an excellent host, and we appreciated his suggestions about hikes, restaurants, and local attractions.
