“We picked this place because it had excellent ratings. My experience was:
Very difficult to unload car on an incredibly tight road. I had a heated row with a local resident who was very aggressive. The parking which was at a public viewing point was up a steep hill about 400 meters away. The bathroom was not cleaned well with unpleasant marks in the toilet, dusty bin lids etc. cobwebs and dirt on window. House was run down and very outdated. Walk into town was about 12 minutes down steep……
“The suite is advertised with stunning views over Loch Awe and Kilchurn castle but you can't see any of the Loch at all. The interior of the suite was kept well and clean and the host was polite. Easy check in and check out.”
“Such a unique place to stay, and exactly what I wanted. It’s built on stilts into the side of a hill, just above a fabulous Inn. Walking distance (400m ish) from Lochawe train station. Very comfortable beds, quiet, fantastic warm shower. Everything we needed (and I’d packed things expecting it to be……
“Lovely little spot for a stay on Oban. We really enjoyed the comfortable stay and many recommendations for things to do in the region. Some miscommunication and late communication made a little hiccup to our first night without wifi access- otherwise all was good. Would stay again.”
“Wonderful apt in the heart of Oban close to ferries, trains, shops and restaurants. Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Cereal, milk, coffee and teas were provided which was a nice touch and very welcoming.”
