「We stayed 2 days and it was excellent. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The large drawing room that overlooks Loch Melfort was also available for us to use which we enjoyed. We enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner on the evening of our arrival prepared and served by our host Mathew. This was our first visit to Melfort House and hopefully we will be back again soon.」

「It’s a lovely little place just on the outskirts of Oban, hospitality was amazing. We was greeted when we pulled up. I will give a big shout out to the daughter and the son-in-law as they were looking after the premises for the owners. We walked Ben Nevis on Saturday and they provided a sandwich drink and a few crisps which was extremely helpful much better than a Tesco’s value meal deal. 「Fae and Marcos are welcoming and did everything to ensure we got the best from our stay. Our room was large, with a fabulous view, the bathroom very large. All done with antique furniture and art old and new on the walls. The lovely cosy lounge with a warming fire was a great place to relax with a tot of whisky kindly offered by Marcus. You could wander around the garden or walk down to the river. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order. A perfect place to base our holiday.」
