Comfortable and good location

A short walk to the beach. No ocean view, but you can hear the surf. This property is not huge, but there is lots of social space with a LR, DR, screened porch and deck. Plan on climbing a lot of stairs.

Nice property/good location

Great location for a family with three children and convenient access to community pool. Never walked to beach but estimate ~ 5 minute walk. Check-in/out process at realty office is cumbersome/not convenient vs. just providing a security access code via email. Pool key fob should be provided without a trip to realty office.

Pleasant stay

Overall, we had a very good experience in this rental. It is conveniently located near the pool and a very short walk to the beach access. The house was clean and had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen to cook, etc. The main living area of the house with the living room and kitchen is a little smaller than the pictures appear, however, it wasn't a huge problem for us. If you are planning on someone using the sleeper sofa in the living room it would be a little inconvenient. The wood on the back porch and front steps is older so you will need to wear shoes to avoid splinters. Also, if you have issues with steps you may want to avoid this one because using the steps is the only way into the house.

A week of sun and relaxation

This property was perfect for our family. The location was just what we wanted -- quiet area near the beach and local pool and less than 30 minutes drive to our sons's family in Mt Pleasant. We would definitely rent this property again.

Very nice property

The overall experience was good, but it would have been nice to check in and out with someone in person. Also, some recommendations for restaurants and activities would have been appreciated.

Great beach getaway

My family really enjoyed staying at this beach house. It was a close walk to the beach and the pool was great to take a dip in. We loved all the outdoor areas to hang out: front porch, back screened porch and back deck. The grill was brand new and the house was well stocked (although you should plan to bring a few extra bath towels). The house was clean met our overall needs. The house could use some updating (countertops, living room furniture, and new mattress/ bedding) but it was not enough of an issue for us to reduce any stars. We loved the Vay K bike rentals offered, and the beach cart was perfect to lug gear to and from. Keep an eye on the fridge, we're not sure it held proper temp and took a while to cool after we restocked from a grocery run. All in all, it was a great place for our family to vacation. We would probably look for something a little larger next time, but our family is growing (more kids on the way), and would recommend this place to others. Thanks for a great week!

Close to the beach

Property was dirty dust under the dresser , sink with hair and standing water, tv quit working and had to wait for the tv company to come but he never showed up. A regular maintenance man came immediately to fix it. Ppl at Carrol reality were rude. The property was not very clean in general. Had no broom to clean the sand on the floor. Mattesses need changed. Had a bachache every morning.

Wild Dunes House

Owners supplied hair dryer, which should be added to their amenities listing. The house was clean and the start-up supplies were nice to have. An investment into a better mattress in main bedroom may be helpful.

Great location

Location of property is excellent. Quick walk to beach access. Peaceful neighborhood. Excellent bike trails and love the rental company...rented bikes and beach cart. Only suggestion is to eventually replace mattresses. We have a couple of rental properties and it would make a big difference. This was last minute trip because out Destin condo was cancelled due to maintenance. We are very pleased with this property and its location. Enjoyed it a lot!
