Had a wedding to attend and stayed bc it was move-in week for the area colleges. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was limited but sufficient. The bed was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the facility was not the cleanest. The pool was dirty, and the room had a musty smell. The lobby was hot and humid. The curtains were broken. The AC in the room worked well, but made loud noises that sounded like it was going to break. It did not and remained a working unit throughout the reservation (3 days/2 nights). Overall, not worth the cost per night. Cortland is a depressed area overall with little to do, but if you are in the area, check out the 1890 house.

The staff took 25 minutes to check us in, gave us a handicapped room whose drain did not work so taking a shower flooded the bathroom floor and I had to mop it up to even walk in there, and the carpet had dirty looking spots.

Con isn’t for what we were in the area for. Property definitely needed some updates. There were several Sheetrock patches with no paint in our room, one of the towels had stains on it and a shelf that was in the bathroom was hanging from the wall

We stayed for two nights at Best Western Plus Finger Lakes. The location is convenient - close to shopping, restaurants, and right next to a mini golf course. Parking was easy and plentiful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Customer service at the front desk was poor, and they weren’t flexible about a late checkout. Breakfast options were limited, there was no hairdryer in our bathroom, and no room service during our stay. If you need extra towels, you’re required to bring your used ones down to the front desk to exchange them, which felt unnecessarily inconvenient. We also had the bad luck of being placed next to few rooms booked by families attending a youth baseball tournament. The teenage boys were loud and unsupervised in the hallways both nights, keeping us up until midnight when we had early mornings planned. It made for a frustrating and restless stay. For the price, you’d expect a bit more in terms of service, amenities, and overall experience. While the location is great, we likely wouldn’t return.

After paying a higher amount than the surrounding hotels I was surprised at the state of this hotel. There was not enough hot water for 2 of us to shower and the foot stool in our room was decrepit (see photo). We actually checked out one day early despite having paid $299 for the night.

It was ok. If you’re going to a PBR tournament in Cortland, it’s location is perfect. I don’t have anything bad to say - it was on the shabbier side - but it was a clean comfortable place to sleep. nothing special. FYI, the “hot breakfast” promised was powdered eggs & make your own waffle. Otherwise it was a fridge with yogurts & some prepackaged muffins.

Place was perfect location for what I was doing but first room Given was already occupied when I opened door. Then got new room and linens were terrible, towels old, bed spread stained on both beds, flies in the room (Alive), could see mattress through the sheets.

The hotel has a very welcoming and attractive appearance from the outside, and the interior is just as impressive. The rooms are modernly furnished, clean, and incredibly comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring or attending events at SUNY Cortland. The location is also very convenient, just a short drive to the university and nearby attractions. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure all our needs were met. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cortland — whether for business, leisure, or a quick getaway. I look forward to staying here again!
