「We planned to stay for only 1 night - but after the warm reception and the incredible meal we decided to stay an extra night. The building has been tastefully renovated - keeping its 400 year old charm while offering rhe modern comforts of stong water pressure, air conditioner and a lift! 「Das Haus ist wunderschön, eine ehemalige Schmiede. Der Frühstücksraum ist auch Restaurant am Abend und wirklich beeindruckend. Das Zimmer war groß und passend zum alten Gemäuer eingerichtet. Leider keine Klimaanlage dafür ein Ventilator. Unser Hund konnte mit zum Frühstück und auch abends ins Restaurant. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.」

「8 of us stayed here for the recent Rugby finals in Bilbao - mainly because it was the only hotel we could find that offered reasonable value for money (downtown hotels asking £700+ per room per night for that weekend) As the name says this is a budget hotel but it was fine for us. Easy to get to centre of Bilbao on regular trains (station 15 minute walk) Friendly and exceptionally helpful staff. Reasonable breakfast but no other dining options. 「The building is beautiful from the outside, but it is in desperate need of maintenance and renovation on the inside. The only positive aspects of my stay were the breakfast buffet, which was excellent, and the housekeeping staff. The cleaning team did an outstanding job and kept the rooms clean and well maintained throughout my stay. Overall, despite a few positive points, I would not consider this a true four-star hotel and would not choose to stay here again.」
