Stayed in room 4. Room was too warm. Staff was very busy. The room did not start to cool down until 9. Need paper cups in room. No cream or water at hall coffee pot. The key pad did not work properly had to call for help. Hated to bother the staff but had no options.

The building itself is historic and absolutely beautiful! The rooms were gorgeous, clean, comfortable, and have a claw foot tub which was great. The place has a nice patio you can sit in and enjoy a meal. It is right by the main road which can get a little loud, but web really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend this place!

Ownership change. Everything was clean and wonderful with the room. The new owners did not know their new Wi-Fi code. Once we did get connected, it was poor service. I would stay here again because the room is nice and the people are nice. Bring ear plugs for night truck noise on Hwy 281 out front. Great breakfast.

This place is such a gem! So cozy and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the Ida Huckaby room. It is so charming. Big room comfy bed. The tub was perfect after a long day hiking out at PK. We will most certainly return!

Pleasantly Surprised

Surprised by my stay. The room was very comfortable and there wasn’t a lot of noise from the bar below. If you need an elevator, make sure you call ahead of time to make sure it’s working.

This is the best place to stay in Jacksboro at a very reasonable price. Conveniently located on the courthouse square, safe and sound, pretty facilities, restaurant and coffee downstairs, friendly and efficient staff. Caution: elevator was not working during our stay, but stairs are sturdy, wide, and have a secure handrail. (I suspect that employees might help you get luggage upstairs if lifting your suitcase was an issue. They have always been that kind of friendly.) Also note, I was not able to register on their website nor by phone, but Expedia made reservations quite easy.

Excellent experience.

I came in after hours and the instructions and access were spot on. My room (3) was perfect. Super clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great, coffee even better and lunch choices even better. All in all, great experience.

Such a cute little place. If you are in Jacksboro, this is the place to stay! They have a restaurant onsite that is absolutely delicious. I had the French dip and the au jus sauce was the best I have ever had the meat was so so good, but I wish there was more in the sandwich. The bar area had an old time saloon feel! They also have a very cute outdoor patio area to relax and eat! I will definitely be back if I’m in the area! Even if it is just for the restaurant! The rooms were cute/small but had everything you needed for a restful stay. The bathrooms have been recently remodel.

I booked this room for my son and his dad to have a father son get away for Father’s Day as he is in the process of moving and they needed some father son time. None of us had been there before I just came across it by chance and I’m SO glad I did. He said it was so clean and comfortable. The food was great and just had nothing but great things to say. We will definitely be back for family getaways (we just live in the outskirts of mineral wells) I’m very much looking forward to bringing my daughter for a mother daughter trip and have already recommended it to my parents as well. 10/10
