Excellent as Always!

In town for business that got delayed due to severe ice storm. The hosts were very amicable and not only let me reschedule the timing of my trip, but were able to get me in for an addition two days after my business ran overtime. They are always very friendly and helpful as well as interesting people. Will definitely return.

Property review

It is clean, well supplied, conveniently located. The owners are friendly and available. The only minor downside is the neighborhood ambient light during the night. I recommend the site.

Linda met me at the curb when I pulled in, then she showed me into the place and made sure I was all set before leaving. She was unobtrusive throughout my stay, but when I started my car to leave, she came out and bid me farewell.

Canceled Due to Air Quality

When i informed owner concert had been cancelled due to air quality (fires), he immediately told me he would refund my money. We will definitely book this rental again!

We were so happy to find this gem in Jacksonville. Great hosts that shared their stories with us and were very accommodating. The place was perfect for a night to go to the Britt and we will defenetly be back to spend more time.

Best stay ever!

The property is as described and perfect for 1 or 2 people. The owners are amazing and after just a couple of days felt like family. It's within walking distance of downtown and is such a delightful place to relax and rejuvenate!! I can't wait to visit my new "family" in Jacksonville again, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Home Away From Home

My sister and I chose this location for our first stop to begin our Oregon coast trip up highway 101. The owners of the property were beyond welcoming and gave us recommendations of things to do and where to eat. Wish we would have stayed a day longer to look at and enjoy all the area has to offer. Would 100% stay here again.

Insanely friendly hosts, walking distance from literally everything you want or need, fast internet, adorable cats, kitchen/laundry has everything you could need. It felt like home :)

The rare VRBO that is run by an actual person

Friendly owner, friendly cats, ample parking. It was like staying with family (but cleaner and with more interesting rocks). We have stayed at probably 90% of the VRBO's in Jacksonville, this is definitely one of our favorites.

Everything you need and more!

We really like that the bedroom had it's own heat and cool system. We prefer a colder room to sleep in. I forgot to bring coffeemate for my coffee so it was a pleasant surprise to find some in the fridge. Would definitely stay there again.

Just right

Though the place is small it fit my needs. The hosts were very kind. I noticed ants on the counters. I would remove all of the dust collecting collectables on the tables and nightstands, we were sneezing a lot from the dust and found that all of the usable services were covered by nick knacks and collectables that served no purpose but to collect dust. I would prefer clean, uncluttered usable surfaces in such a small place or in any rental. Also, I would suggest that the owners tell the cleaning crew to clean under the bed, lots of dust there!

As far as the nick knacks, will try to do a little thinning. Always appreciate comments, gives reason for changes and improvements

In town for wedding

Linda was so sweet and welcoming, the property was perfect for my boyfriend and my three night stay. Close to a yummy coffee shop and bbq place!

Great location

Great location walking distance to center of town. Everything you need during your stay is provided! Washer and dryer being available is a plus! Our second stay here and certainly won’t be our last 😊

Cozy cabin close totown

We had a fantastic overnighter in a very comfortable and private cottage. Linda was great to work with and she allowed us to park there a bit longer while we took what amounted to a very easy and short stroll to historic downtown Jacksonville for a coffee etc. Thanks for everything !

Great experience! Hosts were welcoming and available if needed. They were truly some of the sweetest, kindest, most generous folks I’ve met! Helped us in, nice and cool from the air conditioning upon arrival. Fridge was stocked with bottled water, there was coffee and tea. Lovely decor, sweet little kitchen, nice walk in shower, washer and dryer. Hard to find a vrbo you can stay at for just one night, which is often all I need. It made the stay affordable and perfect for our needs... one night so we could walk to and from the Britt, which is a pretty quick walk if you enjoy walking. Will definitely keep it in mind for future Britt shows.

Short Stay at Charlene’s Cottage

We stayed here on our way up to and back from visiting friends in Washington. It was a perfect place for us, clean, convenient and comfortable. Our hostess was readily available to help with any issues (like a lock- out!, kind, friendly and generous. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot!

We had a lovely stay! We were greeted by our host and she was extremely kind. Gave us a great restaurant recommendation that was just a 1 minute walk away. We then were able to walk to the Britt Festival. Home was clean and comfortable! We would definitely stay here again.

Girls Night

Excellent hosts. Greeted us, had already turned on air conditioning, food in cabinet, water and drinks in fridge. Washer/dryer available. Just like home. Much better than a hotel anyday.

Convenient and friendly

We have stayed at Charleen’s Cottage several times. It is comfortable and conveniently located. Perfect for 1-2 people. Friendly hosts who respect your privacy. Great AC and W/D, functional kitchen and now a charging station for your car.

Very nice except fan in bathroom needed cleaning & back of swinging mirror needed cleaning.

It was a beautiful cottage with all amenities anyone would need! The washer and dryer was a wonderful extra! If we had stayed for another day we surely would have used them. Hospitality was great!

Charming cottage in a great location

Charlene's Cottage was the perfect location for our long weekend stay in Jacksonville--homey, comfortable, everything we needed in the kitchen for making coffee and snacks, and within quick walking distance to the commercial area. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking for a spot in the area.

Everything is exactly as pictured.

Linda carl and eric are the kindest hosts.they are there to help with anything needed but respect privacy. The cottage is stocked with supplies and waters . the shower is walk in and the hosts even provided a shower chair when requested. We will keep coming back

Felt right at home

Linda and the rest of the Host family were super welcoming for my boyfriend and I. The rental itself is perfect for a trip away from home. Super comfy and clean. If your in Jacksonville visiting this is definitely the place to stay!

Best VRBO rental I’ve had

This property is lovely. Exactly as listed. In excellent condition with more amenities than any property I’ve stayed at before. Just a short walk to downtown Jacksonville. Property owners are courteous, kind, and responsive. I highly recommend this stay!

Our second stay here

We stayed here on our way south from WA to CA. It was so nice, we booked the place for our return trip north as well. Lovely owners, clean, quiet, homey. So much nicer than staying at a motel. I will recommend this nice place to family and friends.

Hospitality and convienence

This cottage was so cozy , clean and thoughtfully stocked with needed supplies. The hosts were welcoming and kind. Eric even gave my granddaughter a couple rock slabs to keep! Cant wait to visit again.

Charleen’s Cottage Offered everything we needed for our stay we were very surprised by all the amenities. I would suggest some new bed pillows though as they were a little flat. And a little too much furniture as my husband kept bumping into the chest at the end of the bed.

Cozy and clean

Great hosts who showed us the property right upon arrival and were around to answer any questions. Walking distance to downtown Jville and there were a couple cute cats we loved hanging out.
