We loved our stay near the beach while we were visiting Costa Rica. A short drive to nearby restaurants and Jaco beach. You can also walk to the beach club and watch the sunset from the beach. Perfect for families with several rooms and bathrooms.

We travel every year to different countries all over the world and I have to that the accommodations in this house was absolutely perfect, jean made the stay very pleasant as well as convenient for all four of us, so if you’re thinking of the perfect boys getaway look no further this is the place…

We Had A Wonderful Time There. The Pool And Beach Are Very Close. The Third Level Was The Perfect Place To Watch The Sunset's. While We Were There We Only Ate Out Twice. The Kitchen Is Perfect And we Just Ate There.

From start to finish, process was amazing!!! House is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Had everything we needed to cook our meals. Roberto caretaker was very helpful with telling us about where to order pizza and how to use the TV for my dad. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you. Forgot to mention the pool was so nice, so we could hang out at house. Yo-yo’s bar is great for a bite to eat or yummy drinks.

This was a fabulous family vacation with ages from 10-76! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The third floor deck was spectacular. We saw macaws every morning and watched the sunset in the evening. The owners answered all of my questions before we arrived and then Roberto, the manager, gave great recommendations while we were there. Yo-yo’s bar is the best! Her food was so incredible that we wound up eating there several nights! The real beauty was that beach. To be able to swim in those strong waves and listen to the powerful ocean was my favorite. I was so sad to leave and am already wondering when I can go back!

Jean-Jacques place was a great stay! The house is in great shape, it very comfortably fits the maximum of 12 people. It is very well kept and conditioned, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking a full meal, it even has a gated garage which is a rare finding in Costa Rican beaches. It has central A/C throughout the entire house which is also great for travellers who, like me, do not want to sacrifice on the good A/C. The condominum facilities are also in great order, and, it has very quick access to the beach to the point it could almost be considered beach-front property. The property exactly meets the description and the pictures in its profile. What you see is what you get. Perhaps the only downside is that the upstairs A/C is not as cool as the downstairs one. I would not hesitate in recommending Jean-Jacques place, or the host himself who was very attentive and responsive. This house definitely makes it to my list of houses to visit again in the future.

Stop searching and book a week at this place. The owner, Jean Jacques is great to work with answering any questions and providing all info needed. Playa Hermosa is a surfers dream, this house is at the perfect spot for guaranteed waves. We used points on Southwest Airlines to get to San Jose and arranged a rental car through the owners contact, it was all a positive experience that worked as planned. I downloaded google maps offline on my phone to get from San Jose airport to Hermosa Palms, about a 1.5 hour easy drive through the mountains. A few tolls along the way and we reached the gate house, 24 hour security made me sleep very comfortable at night. The house is amazing with ocean views from the second floor master bedroom and guest bedroom. There is a third rooftop covered deck perfect for coffee/breakfast while checking out the waves coming through. Lots of room in the house and a full kitchen. Two car garage is perfect to store surfboards and rental cars. Very clean and luxurious home. It's a very short walk to the beach and pool area. Stunning sunsets and pool time were a priority in between 3 sessions of surfing each day. Swim up bar with wonderful staff and excellent fish tacos and fresh pineapple daiquiris. Black sand beach gets hot, so remember flip flops to get to the water. We saw rooster fish and jack swimming and eating bait just passed the breakers, while out surfing multiple rays jumped out of the water making it a memorable experience. Soft sand bottom with big tide swings create a different surfing experience each day. Check out Backyard restaurant just up the road for great food and service. Jaco is not far with a couple grocery stores, great restaurants, and night life as well. January had no bugs to deal with except for a couple flys after dark. It's the definition of paradise, do whatever it takes to get to this place and experience Playa Hermosa at Hermosa Palms, it's a special spot you need to visit!

This was our first time to Costa Rica, but we are regular VRBO renters. This home, the community, Judy (the owner), and Roberto (the manager), were all exceptional. The house was clean and beautiful, and Roberto made check in easy. He helped connect us with surf lessons with Jeffrey (our kids’ favorite activity) and Chef Dennis, who cooked some meals for us in our home. He also answered any questions we had about Costa Rica. I can’t say enough things about how great this community was. The pool and YoYo’s poolside bar were one of the highlights of our trip. I would recommend this home to anyone - the view is as beautiful a view as you’ll get. We hope to be back sometime!

My wife and a few close friends rented Judy's place while attending our friends' destination wedding at Hermosa Palms. I can't say enough great things about this spot. Check-in was a breeze thanks to regular communication with the property manager Roberto. In fact, Roberto connected with us on WhatsApp weeks before we arrived to coordinate and answer any questions we might have, which was so helpful and comforting as this was our first trip to Costa Rica. The house is clean, well appointed with really nice appliances and comfortable beds and furniture, and seems recently renovated. The private pool and decks provided a great place to unwind away from the crowd. Although not beachfront, the property between the house and the beach is a pasture and nature preserve, making the house seem more peaceful and secluded than others in the neighborhood. Wake up early and you'll spot all sorts of tropical birds, if you're into that sort of thing. The larger Hermosa Palms neighborhood is really special. House rental includes access to Playa Hermosa, the Hermosa Palms private clubhouse, pool, and most importantly Yoyo's poolside bar. Yoyo is an incredible bartender with a great selection of drinks using fresh, local ingredients. Same goes for the kitchen at Yoyo's, where I had some of the freshest ceviche and one of the best quesadillas I've ever had. The beach itself is beautiful, with volcanic sands and unmatched sunsets. Judy clearly takes pride in keeping a clean, safe, and comfortable place for her visitors. Roberto was always available for any questions/local advice/etc and just seems like a really solid dude. My only regret is not spending a longer time there. Don't hesitate to book this great spot for your Playa Hermosa vacation.

Our fourth time to Costa Rica, our first time to Hermosa Palms on Playa Hermosa ("Greater Jaco"). I would recommend a car as there are no restaurants or shopping (i.e., grocery, pharmacy, retail) anywhere nearby. Having said that, we spent very little time in our car as we spent most of our day going back and forth between the house, the beach, the pool, the house, and then back to the beach! What a great setup! We rented boogie boards and surf boards from a store in Jaco and kept them at the house which certainly kept us busy in the ocean. We also regularly frequented the great pool bar (open Tues-Sun) which had drinks and really good snacks and meals. The house itself is very spacious with a gorgeous new kitchen, a beautiful deep pool, and a BBQ which we used for dinners most nights. The AC was also great as there were multiple units throughout the house. Each of our three kids had their own bedroom and three of the four bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The owner, Judy, was great, as was Robert, the on-site manager. Both great people and very helpful. We would come back without hestitation.

We stayed in this property from Dec. 29 through Jan. 7 and our time in Costa Rica was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about the owner of this home and how accommodating he was from the time we booked until the moment we left. Our group consisted of 2 families of 5- Adults, 4 teenagers and 2 middle schoolers. The house easily accommodated our group of ten with the 4 bedrooms. There are basically 2 master suites- a large downstairs bed/bath and a bed/bath upstairs that housed the 4 adults. The kids were scattered between the other 2 rooms and a couple of comfortable couches. To begin, JJ went well above and beyond in recommending various excursions, a chef, transportation, surf rentals/lessons- basically anything we could ask for. He even picked us up and took us to the local grocery store on our first day to stock up on food for the house! Everyone that he recommended to us was amazing. The chef (Rachel) that came and cooked made amazing dishes of Mahi and fresh ceviche. The food was so good we even went in to Jaco and visited the restaurant she runs- TWICE! Our transportation/ tour and excursion organizer Fabian was prompt, friendly, reliable and very well informed about Costa Rica and its history. Our surf connection who lived in the same complex was very flexible and made us feel like we were one of his friends. As for the property, I will say that you should go in with the understanding that these houses in this environment are subject to brutal conditions due to being right on the ocean. The house was very well kept and clean, but there were a few issues with outdoor lights not working, the water heater was down for a day (which was not a big deal because it was so hot there anyway) and we did have a few critters (Crabs, bugs, etc) inside the house. Certainly nothing to damper our excitement about our time there, but just go in with reasonable expectations for the climate and you won't be disappointed. Lastly, the amenities and environment of the complex really made the stay for all of us. The beach is amazing. The beautiful Macaws circle the complex all day. The location is the perfect distance for you to explore the country and all of its beauty. The pool is a fantastic addition and reprieve from the heat, especially the swim up bar with the AMAZING Yoyo who runs it! All of the people that we met from the community could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and/or return to this property!
