On an unscheduled stop in Augsburg, Germany, we found the very special place of The Fuggerei. Well worth a visit. The museum is small but informative. You can also see inside one of the houses. Mozart’s father lived here. Wikipedia says: The Fuggerei is the world's oldest social housing complex still in use. It is a walled enclave within the city of Augsburg, Bavaria. It takes its name from the Fugger family and was founded in 1516 by Jakob Fugger the Younger (known as "Jakob Fugger the Rich") as a place where the needy citizens of Augsburg could be housed. By 1523, 52 houses had been built, and in the coming years the area expanded with various streets, small squares and a church. The gates were locked at night, so the Fuggerei was, in its own right, very similar to a small independent medieval town. It is still inhabited today, affording it the status of being the oldest social housing project in the world.

地點不錯!停車也相當方便，離市中心相當近，都是步行可到的距離。但是CP值低，房間價格偏高!!!而且房間偏小，對於攜帶大型行李的旅客而言不是很方便，而且房間格局有點詭異，浴室快要比房間還要大，過於浪費空間。

酒店地點就在Augsburg的中央車站旁，公共交通配套完善；雖位於鐵路沿線，然而房間隔音效果不錯，大大降低了鐵路經過時的噪音；酒店員工很友善，樂於協助旅客；唯房間似乎沒有有效的換氣設備，浴室每天都在潮濕狀態，如關上房間大門及窗戶，個多小時內房間便充斥著潮濕異味

Das Zimmer war sauber und schön. Auch das Personal war freundlich. Nur das Frühstück war enttäuschend. Bei der Buchung war nicht ersichtlich, dass es sich lediglich um ein kleines Croissant mit Schokoladenfüllung sowie einer Brezel handelt. Dann konnte man sich noch ein Heißgetränk oder Saft nehmen ...
