"We’ve stayed at a few hotels in Monterey and this is our favorite especially when we travel with our six year old daughter. She loved having the view of the pool and hot tub and we used it a lot. At the spa, Ann Marie gave a fantastic massage. We can’t wait to go back!"

"Stayed while solo traveling. Felt completely comfortable and safe. Just steps away from beautiful scenery, cozy beaches and a delicious restaurant overlooking the water! I would certainly stay again."

"Parking for my can was on the street but I felt it was safe. I never met any staff. I called and they sent me a txt. I guess thats the modern way but I would have rather gotten to speak to someone in person "

"We have come to this property for many years in the past and appreciate the location and the historic nature of the building. However, we realize that the property, which advertises itself as a boutique bed and breakfast, has not been maintained or improved and is currently in disrepair. For example, the windows and blinds are not fully functioning. The room paint needs attention, and the carpet buckles. Amenities we enjoyed in the past, like the nice breakfast and cheese and wine, are missing. Breakfast is a small bowl of yogurt and small pastries are set out, perhaps from Smart and Final. Staff seems pleasant but without any authority or knowledge. Daily room cleaning is not offered unless requested. Although we have stayed at the property for many years, we will not go back at any price, but it was overpriced for what we received. "

"Our experience was great. It is a big house with I believe 10 suits. Stuff are nice. Breakfast is great. The overall stay was very cozy. Since it is a big house setting, you can talk to the other guests during the breakfast…. Great place to stay if you would enjoy quiet, family feeling experience. "

"Great location and clean - nice little place ! Very noisy Monday morning with garbage etc beginning before 6:00am and non stop - that’s the down side to staying downtown . You don’t come here to watch TV but it would be nice to have even local network TV - lots of premium stuff but if you don’t a subscription…….."

"Breakfast was limited for alt-diets. I had the fruit and then we went elsewhere for a full breakfast. Parking was doable, had no issues finding a spot for a few hours and moving our car as needed. Lighting was sub-par...as with many places, it was all on and bright or bedside lights on and dim for the greater room. The jet tub didn’t jet but it was still very relaxing and accommodated larger bodies. The fireplace was nice. The fridge could have been a tad larger to accommodate restaurant leftovers. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The ved was comfortable. "
