Awesome vacation spot

Our family really enjoyed this awesome place! The house had plenty of room comfortable beds, & one of the best docks for swimming & fun in the water. Not to mention the beautiful sunrises! It was also close to stores for those things we ran out of forgot. We would highly recommend this place for families!

Family Reunion

This property is wonderful. Nice, clean, plenty of room & great location. Beautiful view! Host was very attentive & responded to all our needs & questions quickly. Definitely recommend this property.

Third year for family fun

This house is great for a couple of families. We LOVE the boat Dick where we spend most of our time. This was our third time vacationing together at this house and will be back!

Fun Family Spot

This house is perfect for our family. The dock is wonderful. We do lots of swimming and sitting on the dock. The water is so clear. The house is somewhat choppy with stairs between 3 levels but it works for our family. Plenty of space to spread out with privacy. Love it!!! This is our second year here!!!

Great family Vacaton

This is our third year here. We love the dock and proximity to Duskin Marina. We rent a pontoon from them and spend 2 days on the water. Our kids love to swim off of the dock. The house is a little dated but it has six bedrooms which works for our family and plenty of bathrooms. We will probably stay here again next year.

Our Annual family vacation

We have been to Smith Lake a couple of years ago and feel in love with the place. We had four families at this year's get together and we thoroughly enjoyed the place. The weather was great, the water was great and our facilities were great !!!!

Weekend guys trip

Great weekend with friends. Highlight is the excellent dock where we spend most of our time. Plenty bed/bathrooms, and the property manager is always quick to respond.

Great Location

This is our 10th year at smith and our second stay at this property and new go to when visiting every year. Host is very responsive. Access to amenities is within 15 minutes if you happen to need anything. Water access and location is ideal as well.

Great location.

The property was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and easy to access upon arrival. We had a great time relaxing on the dock before and after our days on the water. The upstairs balcony/porch was a perfect, safe spot for our one-year-old grandson to play while still being able to watch the activity on the dock.There was plenty of room for our group, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One small tip for future guests: check under the wicker lounger on the upstairs porch for wasp nests every day or two. It is an outdoor area, so this is more of a helpful heads-up than a complaint. There was spray under the sink, which made it easy to manage.After 13 trips to Smith Lake, this was by far the best boat dock of any property we’ve rented. It made our time on the water even better.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again!

Family lake fun

Amazingly perfect dock complete with shade, furniture, 2 slips, and very bright lights for easy docking. Oddly laid out house with lots of room including 2 porches and great comfortable couches and beds. Kitchen needs a couple more large pans/cookie sheets for preparing meals. Cold AC, convenient washer/dryers, plenty of refrigerator space. If you are arriving with your boat and some teens who want their own living room and like to sleep late-and others get up early, this is the place. Slough is easy to kayak, swim platform is plenty big, and you can call the kids to dinner from the porch.

View is beautiful.

THE GOOD: Owner responds quickly. The view is lovely. The lake is clear as always. House is large. Parking is ok. Yard is level enough to make traveling to the deck easy. THE NOT SO GOOD: The house is older so I expect some imperfections, BUT, I think roaches, crickets and other bugs can be exterminated. They were crawling the walls and floors. The stairs going outside to the dock were in terrible shape with loose weak boards. The cleaning crew is not doing a good job, the dishes and silverware were dirty. The carpet going up the stairs is stained and filthy. The BBQ grill needs to be replaced, it caught fire while we were trying to use it. It is rusted and clogged with grease. I want to make clear that I did NOT contact the owner with any of these issues. I am sure he would have tried to do something. He needs to know these things to fix them if he desires to. Will I stay here again, no.

We enjoyed our stay!

We started going to Smith Lake last year, & have decided to make it an annual trip for our family. This was the perfect spot on the lake with easy access to fill up the boat & jet ski & a quick little boat ride to the rope swing & cliff jumping. Easy to contact the owners to let them know of a few small issues, but nothing that couldn’t be taken care of.

Nice stay

Large property, really feels like two separate houses, so it is great for big groups. Everything was clean. The house does have wifi. The dock and lake were where we spent most of our time, perfect for swimming, fishing, and hanging out.

Love the dock!!!

This is our second time at this location. There aren’t a lot of houses with six bedrooms so it fits are family. The host was very responsive and sent someone out for a drain issue quickly. Beds are comfy but there is one room they doesn’t get enough air at all so we ended up using an air mattress (so more like a 5 bedroom). We love the dock and that’s where we spend most of our time. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals for a big family.

Perfect place for ys

We were down for a fishing tournament, was 5 minutes from the boat ramp at the dam. Loved the boat dock! Had room for parking 4 vehicles and 2 boats. Thanks!
