Our rooms heating system is old and makes a noise every time it turns on that sounds like a woodpecker. They brought us a microwave but the cord is short and there isn’t a convenient place to actually put it, there are signs to take off your muddy footwear before entering the room but it was so snowy

Great staff, as clean as can be however there is only so much they can do. The property is just tired, old, rundown and needs a whole overhaul. Our room had very thin walls and ceiling, a rusted (very painted over) access hatch in the shower, shower head was at about 5’6”, bath tap leaked and sprayed water, room didn’t have enough plugs and some were loose, poor workmanship on the paint in bathroom, bath door hit the shower rod at 3/4 of the way open, the heating was comically noisy (my family decided it most resembled a woodpecker) every time it turned on, there were dips in the floor and the front door was so misaligned you can see daylight through it so there was always a little draft coming in. You could hear your neighbours conversations (not to mention the dogs left alone while the owners went out). Overall honestly I don’t think even though it was well cleaned and a fantastic price I think we would pay more to get a little better of an experience somewhere else next time. The staff was really great and very responsive when we asked for a microwave and also when I did complain about our neighbours dogs barking. They took care of things very quickly and they were very nice.

Tonquin Inn is a solid mid-range choice in Jasper, especially if a good pool, hot tubs, free laundry, and easy access to town are high on your list. It’s not a luxury resort, but it’s practical, comfortable, and well-located for exploring Jasper National Park. We enjoyed our short stay here and would highly recommend it.

There was no parking left so we had to park a block away (in front of Jasper inn and suites) and walk to the hotel in the the cold.

Check-in was fine. After we came back from dinner, there was NOWHERE to park. Not in any of the parking lots, or on any of the street parking surrounding the hotel. Everything was full. There was no solution or even problem solving assistance offered. On our previous stay on this same trip, the temperature in the room was incredibly hot. Even with -20 weather, we had the windows open to try to cool it down. I complained to the staff. A refund of 15% was to be made to my credit card. It was not. I will not stay here again.
