Wonderful Weekend! Great for families with kids of all ages.
The house was incredibly clean and welcoming. My two boys (5 and 8) loved it, and there was plenty of room for extended family. It was well stocked with games, kids toys, and other activities.
Getting to this place can be a bit of an ordeal to be honest. We found that Apple Maps was the most accurate. The house itself was great—three teenagers and three adults were happy the entire time. The games, puzzles, and table games were a hit. Jefferson and West Jefferson were an easy drive. We had a blast during our stay.
Property is clean and well equipped. WiFi was out because of provider issues, but overall it was an excellent stay. We went during a heat wave and the A/C kept up wonderfully. The host Stacey was attentive to our needs and very friendly. The road and surrounding areas are very useful for nature hikes. Can’t wait to visit again.
Beautiful cabin, clean, well stocked: linens, cookbooks, even games....they have thought of it all. Gravel road to cabin a challenge, but well worth the visit!
A very lovely place to stay. Still close to the small town, but off the beaten path. Plenty of activities to keep you relaxed and/or occupied while just staying in the home.
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was well stocked and had an abundance of board games along with a pool table and ping pong! The hot tub was clean and relaxing! I would highly suggest arriving during the day as the dirt road to the location is hard to find…which is a plus if you are wanting quiet and privacy.
Overall the place was very nice, however it was not that clean. It was as though someone had just stayed before us & no one cleaned after themselves. I would recommend staying here just be ready to clean before you stay.
We arrived at the cabin and it seemed cozy and was definitely clean. However this time of year we found out was the prime season for bats. Unfortunately out of the control of home owners or property management, we found and heard some animal existence in the house. We called our property management immediately and received promt action to help with a relocation. We were disappointed that we had to leave the place we thought would work, but Stacy found another option within minutes. We were so appreciative for the amazing service provided from High Mountain Cabin rentals and that we could continue our stay. It was a great few days.
Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary weekend with all of our kids! The game rooms added loads of fun & the hot tub was super in the evenings! Very peaceful cabin!
We felt very comfortable staying here. There was lots of space for the 8 of us. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen utensils, paper products, soap, board games, and puzzles.
It really was the perfect place to stay with our dog for the weekend while we went to get our Christmas tree in the mountains. The drive to get there was very rough and if we didn’t come in a truck it would have been hard to drive it but it was worth it in the end. The king mattress was so comfy and all the amenities like the hot tub and pool table were so fun to have. Would definitely recommend staying there. Thanks again!
We had a really great time at this property. My husband and I and our two adult children were able to relax and disconnect from the world for a week. The place is full of games, plenty of space to spread out and relax. The wraparound porch was quite the bonus for us...we were able to grill and eat outside - even in the rain :). Great place to get away from it all.
Beautiful place. However from pics posted on website it did not look like there would be any neighbors and there definitely was. Overall it was a great place that I wouldn’t mind coming back to.
Had a great time with my family there, the cabin is just great, clean, spacious and equipped with just about everything you need. The kitchen is great, the downstairs pool table provided hours of entertainment and there are enough board games in the house to stock a store! The area is fantastic with the new river being just 5min away. The drop off point for Zaloos canoes is just down the road. Shopping is a convenient 10min away and so are many fast food restaurants and gas stations. A great a comfortable place to stay, either in the summer or in the winter!
The property is nice, but a little dirty inside & out for my taste. It is a long drive to get to the house once you leave the main road, and the road is rough and parts were washed out from the rain (glad we have a 4 x 4). The water did not work for an entire day of our stay. Not fun when you can't flush toilets! The property manager did respond and try to help us out on a Sunday, but if it weren't for a wonderful neighbor, we would have had to go even longer without water. We also had to constantly follow up on the problem ourselves, as no one provided us with updates until we asked. Overall, we made the best of everything and had a great family vacation! Just a little disappointed considering the amount of money that we spent.

Surprise Adult only getaway
My husband and I had planned on taking our highschool and college aged boys for a long weekend, but life happened and it turned out to be just us. The property and surrounding area was beautiful. My husband and I felt very comfortable in this very secluded cabin. It included all the typical amenities.
One warning though, make sure you plot out your trip on an old fashion map prior to driving there. Cell service is non-existent and the GPS could not locate the property. We were told by the property manager prior to check-in that this would be a problem, but I really took it for granted how serious they were. The instructions provided by the property manager were difficult for us to follow as they did not include all the road names, but we did eventually get to the cabin. Once there, everything was perfect.

Home was beautiful.
The place was very nice. Furnishings were nice. It's will equipped. The only issues were minor. The toilet upstairs didn't flush well. The king sized bed was broken when we arrived but the property manager was able to get it fixed on Christmas Eve! (yay). The road was a bit scary. I'm glad we had a 4x4 vehicle. But the place really was worth the scary drive. We loved it.
