“It was a lovely stay, just one night before a day at bike park wales. I was told to leave the bike in the hall way and it was fine there. “Nice clean large room. The fridge was a big bonus. Excellent shower which was much appreciated after a long day walking. We were led to believe from the hotel.com web site that there is Wifi only in public areas but in fact there was wifi all over the the guest house including the rooms. And it was super fast wifi. “I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). ”

“My recent stay was extremely disappointing. The bed was very uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. “Newly refurbished rooms were really nice, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is also a bar/pub/restaurant. We ate at the restaurant and the food was decent. There was entertainment in the evening which was loud and we were concerned that it might disturb our sleep, but once back in the room, we couldn’t hear it. There is unrestricted public parking opposite the hotel.”
