"What an unexpectedly seamless stay! There was a shuttle bus that met us at the Shinkansen station that took us to the Onsen. When we arrived, we were ushered to a comfortable lobby for check-in. The bellman showed us the entire hotel and onsen, and walked us through our kimonos and slippers. Lovely breakfast, lovely rooms, lovely Onsen... and another free shuttle back to the Shinkansen station. We will definitely return! "

I stood around confused for long enough that a nice employee saw me confused on a security camera and came to help. "There was a stain on the tatami floor. It also seems to be the season when small insects or cockroaches appear. Despite staying on a high floor with no windows open, I noticed these bugs in the common areas. It would be good if the staff could address this issue rather than letting them roam freely in those spaces."
