Churchlane Chalet Albany

Relax in the comfort of our contemporary, yet characterful, fully self contained chalet whilst enjoying a tranquil rural and river outlook.

Churchlane Chalet offers two double bedrooms ( two queen sized beds as pictured) and is configured to suit couples and /or friends seeking a peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy all that our region has on offer. We have a per night rate based on the use of one bedroom with an additional charge for each extra guest. A maximum of four people.

Nestled on the upper reaches of the Kalgan river, a pleasant 15-20 minute drive north east of the Albany CBD, we are perfectly located for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle yet still wanting to be close to the city action.

Churchlane Chalet’s quiet riverside location offers guests a range of holiday activities. Sit on the decking with a favorite book, the views and abundant bird life, or canoe the Kalgan river before relaxing in front of a log fire with a local wine .
Bush walking, wine tours and pristine local beaches are all close by.

We are only 20 minutes from the magnificent Porongurup Range with it’s wonderful walks and wines. And, for more serious trekkers/nature lovers there are The Stirling Range and Two Peoples Bay National Parks. Also, the stunning Luke Pen Kalgan River trail is at our doorstep. Beach goers are spoilt for choice with Little Beach, Nanarup and Gull Rock only a short rural drive away.

Visit this wonderfully diverse corner of Western Australia’s Great Southern and we know you will love it just as much as we do. We look forward to sharing its wonders and best kept secrets with you.

Tranquility in Kalgan

We loved our stay in this wonderful modern, very well equipped, snug villa in Kalgan, just north of Albany. Beautiful, peaceful surrounds with river access. Just a 15 minute drive to Albany, but 15 minutes closer to the wonderful Porongurups and Sterling Range. Highly recommended.

Another amazing stay !

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Churchlane to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. The chalet was once again very well equiped and set up for our stay. Dee and Steve’s attention to detail makes all the difference! From the fresh flowers and herbs in the vases, to the wood fire being ready to light. Everything was wonderfully thought out. Churchland Chalet is the most idyllic place with views from the deck of the Kalgan River, trees, birds (including Blue Wrens!) Everything you need and more is at this Chalet. It is clean, modern & comfortable with a gorgeous log fire. The personable touch of the owners makes it a home away from home. Beautifully presented and clean. Very comfortable and located in a quiet location. So many extras provided which were very much appreciated. The best accommodation that we have stayed at by far. We intend to have it as our go to when visiting in Albany in the future.

Churchlane Chalet is a home away from home. So well catered for, clean well equiped property. The views from inside & on the verandah is spectacular. On arrival we had fresh eggs, butter, milk & bread. Also there was a basket of goodies - yummy. Dee & Steve are wonderful hosts, everything is provided for. The place exceeded our expectations. It was a perfectly quiet place with beautiful scenery and the perfect place for a little get away. The option to kayak in the nearby river was awesome as well at petting some cows and horses. The place was really clean and comfy with lots of games to choose from for some evening time fun and the place was well stocked. Look forward to coming back in the future.

It's the little things....

Churchlane chalet is beautifully designed and well built with quality furnishings. Dee and Steve are exceptional hosts that have thoroughly thought of every little detail to ensure each guest has a relaxing and very comfortable stay. The welcome basket was a wonderful surprise as we walked into the kitchen, as were all the freshly picked flowers in vases around the very clean chalet. It's the little things like this that show just how much effort Dee and Steve go to in creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. The gardens are stunning and full of things to enjoy watching while sitting on the deck. Lots of different birds, butterflies, ducks landing in the pond each morning /afternoon, horses playing in the top paddocks and little bunnies popping in and out of the bushes chasing one another. There was always something to see that made us smile. The kayaks were also great to be able to use down in the river and the chess board was a big hit too! Thank you to Dee and Steve for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to staying again!

Absolutely amazing!

Churchlane chalet was even better than the photos . The chalet was pristine , clean , well considered with everything thought of with good quality linen and a relaxing comfortable interior . Total Tranquility

If you’re looking for a place to unwind by starting your mornings off with a cuppa in the morning on the patio and a wine near the fire in the night, then stay at Dee and Steve’s property. Churchlane chalet is a piece of paradise. The chalet is immaculate and built to a high standard. Everything you could possibly need is on hand. And some lovely welcoming touches too.
