We had such a relaxed and lovely stay at this charming cosy cottage. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the whole place was peaceful and quiet. Short walk to the pier. We were in TimberLoo Cottage 5 (1 Queen Bed) SPA & Wood Stove.

Authentic forest accommodation in the middle of the Kalimna woods; spacious two-bedroom cottage with a jetted spa; adequate toilet and kitchen amenities but some utensils like cutleries need upgrading consistent with their high-technology keyless entry and in-room WiFi connectivity; I highly recommend this property for families with children!

These are nice cabins set on a bushy property. It is generally peaceful, but depending on your cabin location you can hear the main road traffic occasionally. But generally the cabins although aged are clean and comfortable. The surrounding area pleasant and relaxing and is an easy 5 minute walk to the kalimna pub. P.S. the firewood is $15 for a tub and a bucket of kindling not $15/ night. Unless you burn a lot of timber. I would recommend this place and not hesitate staying again.

Lovely country cabin

What a fab little place. I am assuming that the owner booked us in and he was lovely. The cabin was very cute, plenty of space, comfortable beds. It was very cold in there because we visited in the winter however we paid a small fee for some firewood and got the log burner going. Was great value for money would love to go back when it was warmer.

We were looking forward to a night in next to a woodfire and disappointed to learn, yes we had one but then had to purchase the firewood separately. Why is it not part of the price? A few maintenance issues, lounge light not working, bathroom door unable to keep closed, very cold day/night and yet most windows had been left open. Bathroom & toilet windows unable to be closed. Newish split system excellent. Summer would be ok but winter not great.

We came to this property for one night on our way back to Melbourne with our 2 kids (5 and 1 year old), and we found it absolutely perfect for what we needed. We had 2 bedrooms and a spa room, and the kids loved the cottage and the property with all the birds and playground and so much to see. Such a great alternative to staying in a random motel room with kids. A bit out of town, which we loved, but also the Kalimna pub at the end of the street was perfect for a pub meal before tucking back into the cottage with the DVD player (a novelty for the kids!) and a spa. Management was also lovely and the cottage was super clean. Will definitely be back to stay if we do another road trip out that way!

It was a very quiet and peaceful setting but still very close to all amenities. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The cabins were older style and did look a bit tired in places but it was very clean. Limited channels on the television and they dropped and we lost signal many times..

This property was lovely. The shower over a spa bath was dangerous with no grip rail for support and the shower water went over the floor. The only hazard for older people in a delightful cottage.

The cottages were quaint, roomy. We cooked on the bbq, Jack was very friendly- brought us firewood for the firepit etc. chickens and goats running around- very cool if that’s what you’re into (we farm - so not something that thrilled us necessarily, but all good). Only complaint - needs a good scrubbing- doors, light switches, plug ins, shower etc. thankfully beds and towels were clean. Sorry, I seldom complain but really things need to be clean for me.

Cozy Cabin

A lovely cabin in the woods. Very clean, everything we needed was there. The bed was very comfortable, the shower and bath were great. There's even clothes washing facilities. Be sure to pack anti bug spray for yourself, if you go out at night the insects bite.
