Tepee entrance is too small. Couldn’t bring my bag inside so had to unpack on the picnic table. Luckily it wasn’t raining. Strong smell of kerosene from the heater. Property was clean, staff was very helpful. Would go back to try the prospector tents but wouldn’t recommend the tepees.

I regret to share that our stay here on fists night was extremely uncomfortable due to the heater in the tent not functioning properly. We were with our young child, and unfortunately, she was unable to fall asleep until around 3 a.m. because of the cold. Eventually, we had no choice but to take her to the car, where we spent the rest of the night sleeping in the vehicle. As you can imagine, this was not what we expected or hoped for, and it was quite distressing for us as a family. Due to this experience, we have decided not to continue with the remaining two nights of our reservation. We kindly requested a refund for the unused nights, as we were unable to enjoy the full experience due to the heating issue, which made the tent unsuitable for our stay, especially with a child involved. Contacted them twice and they said they’ll call back. But didn’t receive a call yet. Sent them 2 emails. No reply yet for any email. Very disappointed.

Family tent was an amazing experience! The ambience itself was great and it also had a few amenities like USB outlets and wireless chargers within the tent. The fire place couldn't heat up the tent properly so we were shivering after midnight once the firewood burned out.

Staff were friendly but arrival at both Basecamp locations were problematic. First night at Sundance getting bit in bed by something, heater had flame shooting a foot above heater and Coleman lamp and side tamp lamp not working, staff fixed right out away but gets really really cold at night on trappers tent.

Whether you're looking for a romantic retreat, a solo recharge, or a base for exploring the Rockies, Sundance is the kind of place you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended! There is nothing around the area. Bring your own food, blankets (they rent them) anything you can think of using for being comfortable. I loved it. This place is designed to live like in the woods with a bit of comfort, but you make the comfort. Amazing place by the river, with excellent Northern Lights view, full moon view and amazing mountains around. Totally recommend for anyone looking to experience camping with comfort. They have shared showers and the cleanliness was above expectations for a place like this. Amazing for kids, family, pets. I totally recommend this experience and this place. They were very informative the whole time. There is a bbq for each tent and heater is also provided. But as I said, if you like comfort, do a bit more of research and bring your own. Even a sleeping bag if needed. We went in september and it was already getting cold so plan in advance.

Thank you to Friendly and understanding staff who assisted me when checked in. The place is nice and washroom has hot and cold shower at no additional fees. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and families.
