Special stay experience

Locate on the peak of the mountain, have to drive a very narrow way to the top, too many insects in the room otherwise it was perfect experience, shower is wide and super nice, staffs are very friendly and helpful, great view of the valley, worth every penny.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Fox Kandy. The hotel is beautifully designed, and its hilltop location provides perfect views over Kandy and the surrounding hills. One of the standout moments was the morning mist covering the lower parts of the city and hills, leaving the peaks visible above it. It was a beautiful sight. The staff were exceptional, and the food and dining experience were also very good. The infinity pool is a must after a day in town. The road up the hill is a little winding, but once you arrive, it is clearly worth it. After a full day exploring Kandy, I’d suggest taking a tuk tuk back up to the hotel. Overall, a memorable stay in a very scenic setting.

We enjoyed a 5 night stay at Fox Kandy and could not be happier with the experience. The room, hotel, facilities and grounds were spotless. Thank you Yasim for looking after our room. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and ate at the hotel on two nights, the food for all meals was really good quality. Special mention to all the staff who were all polite and courteous and were always on hand to help. Thank you all and we hope to stay again in the future.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, the views are outstanding, property is very clean and modern and the restaurant has a very menu that can suit anyone’s taste buds. The only thing negative was the road to get up the hill to reach the top, so may twist and turns, narrow road and many trucks and cars to get by, but the view is definitely worth the ride up.

The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Make sure you a lot enough time for travel. We were going to be late for our train because a PickMe driver canceled. But the hotel made some calls and arranged for a quick Tuk Tuk ride and we made it right in time.

Stunning views from this mountainside property but is a long and winding drive to get there although this only takes around 15 mins from Kandy town. The rooms are in small blocks of 4 and set apart. Lovely buffet restaurant.

We had a suite which was great. Strange to have a dining table instead of proper seating area. If this was changed it would have been even greater. Dinner was OK but nothing to write home about. Breakfast was better. Dining area felt a bit like a school dinner hall. The staff were very helpful. Can get a bit noisy when the wind blows from the east. Rattles the large glass doors. Apart from that we would come back. The pool is good but loungers are limited. Gets busy about 4pm.

Fox resort property is an amazing find, its placed on the top of the mountain and views are amazing. I booked a suite and it has so much space for family and amazing views. A haven on the hill

Lovely hotel sat overlooking Kandy and a sanctuary away from the business of elsewhere. As per other reviews, the road up is quite steep and winding but all of the drivers we had were very careful - use the Pick me app (Sri Lankan Uber) and it will cost about £1.50 in a tuk tuk and £2.50 in a taxi We found the staff to be exceptional - from the very moment you arrive in reception the whole team make you feel so welcome …special mentions to Gobi who was super helpful and Oliver and Olivia who give fantastic massages in the spa. Food in the restaurant was a good standard and reasonably priced, but whether it is there, your room or the infinity pool, this place is all about those beautiful views

Although our first night was spoiled because our room was booked next to a married family and friends whom talked/laughed and were very loud and obnoxious between 3:30am until 8am despite staff asking them to keep it quiet in the early hours. However, as soon as staff became aware of the problem they jumped on it and tried their best to help us. The manager apologized and was very kind and friendly. Also they brought us breakfast in-room so we could sleep in due to loss of hours. Also because we missed dinner as we came back after midnight after our outing, the manager arranged for us to have sandwiches and fruit, coffee and juice waiting for us in the room. On our last day because we were checking out early, they packed us breakfast for our journey out. Views are beautiful from the room. It takes about 20-25 minutes by car from town to the hotel through windy but beautiful local mountain road. Got some great sunrise photos. Everything we ate was delicious. Thank you Fox Resorts!
