Large, modern and well equipped room with beautiful views over the city and a small balcony. The restaurant and bar area is very pleasant, on the rooftop with great views. Food is a little hit and miss. Just worth noting that prices on the menu don’t include taxes. When these are included, this, together with service, adds a third to the bill. This is really misleading and could be easily fixed. Excellent value overall though.

Our room was spotless! Bed is firm, food was appealing however the hamburger caused gastro problems, majorly. Talked to 2other people with similar issues. We ate there the whole time and the last night was beautiful. The staff is above and beyond. The location is away from the street noise and everything else. Gorgeous views, monkeys and fruit bats too

I had a wonderful 4 nights at the Serindip. The staff were amazing abd special thanks to chef Ranga for his help and knowledge while I was in Kandy. Will definitely return for another stay.

Wir hatten das Eckzimmer welches sehr groß war und einen wunderschönen Blick hatte. Beim Frühstück hatte man eine große Auswahl zwischen lokalen und internationalen Essen. Die Rooftop Bar mit Live Musik war auch klasse.

The hotel is quite nice, some of the staff were nice and friendly. But today I had a strange thing happened; ny check-out was midday, I decided to go for a final sightseeing tour. I had my luggage partly packed and I left my items in a certain way and left a do not disturb sign on the door. When I came back i found evidence that someone had been in the room and opened my bags,. I called the reception and they said noone had been in my room. I do not believe this as my things were disturbed. I checked out and left, but will never return to this place. I have traveled to 40 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels...something was off here. Am not sure whether my race had anything to do with it.

A nice hotel, but we were allocated a room on the lowest level with a view of a construction site. The rooftop bar and restaurant are nicely positioned and good music at night. Food was t that great and the cocktails had minimal alcohol. A good hotel for one night in Kandy

Good place to stay

Built like so much of Kandy on the side of a mountain, Grand Serendib Hotel offers a standard room with a great view. The room works well in terms of comfort with a pretty little balcony. We had an excellent buffet breakfast included. The staff were very friendly and polite.

We really enjoyed our stay here. From arriving, the staff on the front desk and in restaurants were on hand to help every step of the way. Room was really spacious and we loved the balcony overlooking Kandy lake. Pool was small, but good to dip into! Although it was quite chilly. Really great location too. Only thing I would say is housekeeping was quite late in the day!
