It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. Remli Villa ligge lidt trukket tilbage fra Kandy by i skønne rolige omgivelser. Det er dog kun en kort tur med Tuk tuk fra byen. Det er et meget flot hus med dejlig udsigt. Ejerne er overordentligt venlige og hjælpsomme
