"When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day. The cost would have been fine split 8...

"The hotel was easy to find and walking distance to Kurashiki Station and Bikan Historical area. The staff at the front desk as well as cleaning staff provided excellent service. The room was clean and amenities were provided. Lovely hotel and staff. "

"Place was clean and tidy. The place is s bit far away from the canals but its still a walkable distance. Not much to do in the area but i think thats more about kurashiki than the hotel. All in all, i would stay here again if i came back to kurashiki."
