Big thumbs up

The location is fairly central, the accommodation is great, clean, spacious and the staff were very helpful. Apart from the building site right outside the apartment (apparently it should be completed by November), its a great place to stay.

Very nice !

Very nice hotel ! Spacious and comfortable room with full kitchen function. Conveniently, just around the centre of the village. Parking was easily configured for a relatively large car. Breakfast was simple without hot meals, but nice. Only small challenge was its limited window time of reception desk. However, they have a special key providing system even out of such window time. This may well be the top candidate for my next visit at Kaprun.

Skidresa med träningsupplägg. En liten plump i protokollet på detta fina stället. Sista dagen upptäckte vi frukostmatsalen. Hade varit gott att gå till dukat bord.

Stay May 2018

We only had a one night stay, but the apartment was clean, tidy and comfortable. The hotel was very conveniently placed in Kaprun, with an excellent coffee house just behind it. Breakfast there is recommended! Friendly staff made the difference, so we would recommend Aparthotel Waidmannsheil to others.

Kaprun!!

Hotellet ligger mycket bra till för skidåkning i Kaprun då bussen gick precis utanför hotellet. Det ligger också mitt i byn så det är nära till allt.

Intimidating and insecure!

The apartment is very basic. It was clean. The duvet was in nice linen, but the matress was covered with very rough cotton matress cover and no proper sheet. Definitely not 4* much more 2*. The most disappointing in our stay was the insecurity we felt in the building and when returning in the evening from dinner. The reception closes at 15:00h and this is clearly marked on the reception door together with the phone number to call in emergency. We were acosted in the corridor on the first floor by a person of "middle eastern" aspect who asked in roken English where the reception was. On being told and that it was closed (there being a phone number to call), he hurried out of the building ahead of us. On returning from dinner, there was a group of "middle eastern" dressed persons with no key huddled in front of the entrance door. They only moved to allow us entry when asked and then only reluctantly. They did not appear to belong, but we could not prevent them entering. Which they did. All in all, we found this experience very intimidating and would in no way recommend this apartment for that reason.

Great location

I really enjoyed the hotel. I thought that it was very tidy and clean and the whole building looked brand new. The room was quaint but comfortable. We had a nice balcony overlooking the central part of town. It was in a very central location and everything that you would ever need was only a five minute walk away... grocery store, restaurants, ice cream shops, hiking, skiing, local events.
