Das Hotel liegt direkt am Wasser. Strand kann man das bischen dreckigen Sand aber nicht nennen. Und doch gibt es nichts Besseres in Candi Dasa. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und auch das Restaurant und das Frühstück sind ganz ordentlich. Und man ist weg vom Lärm und kann doch gut ins Dorf laufen. Das Hotel ist für die gebotene Leistung ganz sicherlich nicht günstig und es wird eine Uferpromenade gebaut was mit richtig Lärm verbunden ist.

Beautiful beach location for view but quite remote for anything else. Beach not really accessible to tan Pool water TOO hot not refreshing at all. Room quite large A/C good Strange they charge for a glass of water at the restaurant not special mineral water just drinkable water stupidity

I don't understand why this hotel has a high rating and good reviews. The hotel in general is very simple and doesn't show it is well maintained. It doesn't have a good beach and its full of boats. The worst part was the room, it was dirty everywhere. Looks like they have very low standards of cleaning. I am glad I booked the hotel for one night only.

The staff were typically Balinese, always smiling and couldn’t do enough for us. Pool service for lunch and refreshments. My only comment was the quality of the mattress. Needs replacing, it’s done it time. For the cost I’d go again

This was our second stay at this property. The views from our room were beautiful. It is so nice to hear the sea in the morning. The staff are lovely. There is plenty of places to eat or have a massage close by.

We have never been to Chandidasa before but what a beautiful place. Hotel Genngong was perfect, right on the water where the local fisherman are and you can swim off the beach. Close enough to walk to plenty of places to eat, although the onsite restaurant is very good too. Warung Moka a stones throw away is definitely worth a stop, the food is beautiful and is family run. Rooms a little tired however clean and compared to others in the area much better. Staff are very attentive and so helpful. Would highly recommend this place, it’s a piece of paradise.

Loved this hotel, from the kindness and efficiincy of the whole staff, to the quality of the bedroom equipments , everything was tip top shape .. perfect for a short stay , 4 , 5 days max as the area has a limited amount of activities the only bemol would be the village of Candidas itself that do not provide interesting shopping facilities.

Cons:- The hotel is very tired and needs a refurb! The swimming pool was not very clean, green algae around the sides which is not a good sign, large whole choline tablets just thrown in whilst people using the pool. Not good!! Constant harassment by boat owners on the beach to go on boat trips even while you were lying in the hotel grounds, trying to chill out. Bed chair cushions were filthy! Our room was three long flights of stairs up with no lift so be aware of that when booking. The transfer from the airport is nearly three hours by car and after a six hour flight it seemed to just to go on and on and costs $60. The beach in front of the hotel was not clean, litter and even dog poo on the beach. Reported the fridge in the room freezing everything inside three times but not repaired. Pros :- The staff are brilliant very friendly and helpful always smiling. Our room (33) had beautiful view over the ocean but as said it needs a coat of paint and new furniture.

We enjoyed our stay, great staff, room had a fantastic view and we liked sitting in bed watching the goings on in the sea. Pool was nice and the whole place felt safe and quiet. Food was excellent.

My husband and I loved our stay at Genggong! We booked for 4 nights and extended it for further 4. There are so many things to rave about. Our room was on the second floor and the view of the ocean was incredible!!! The morning light and evening sunsets were breathtaking. We loved sitting on our balcony watching the fishermen and their activities, so entertaining. The very generous breakfasts were delicious with a wide choice. And the staff!!! They all are a sheer delight with the most beautiful smiles. We highly recommend going snorkelling with one of the fishermen. We went with Alex and he was wonderful but I’m sure the others would be great too. Alex took us to Blue Lagoon and Virgin beach. Great restaurants including the one at Genggong. We also loved Vincents, Warung Le Putu and the cutest Warung that was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. At the entrance to the hotel turn right down the village road and it’s about a 5 minute walk on the left. It’s a corner store where the locals eat. We’d love to go back. Thank you Genggong for our wonderful experiences and memories.
