“All good!”

“The room was clean, but that’s about it. The main issue is the disconnect between how this hotel is advertised and what it actually is. It’s a fine, middle of the road 3 star with a decent view (ish) and uncomfortable beds, and a number of other annoying but minor flaws. It is not a five star or anything close to that. There is just no objective reality to that claim. The experience made me question the reliability of hotels.com’s system for rating and ensuring accuracy. For a mid to low 3 star……

“This was an our first time to Crete. This hotel is so lovely, clean, the pools are really lovely and the staff were all excellent. The room was clean and had a little kitchen area. We will definitely go back to this hotel again.”

“Wir hatten zu dritt (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kind 11 Jahre) ein schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick. An der Poolbar gab es einfaches, aber leckeres Frühstück für jeden Geschmack, auch den restlichen Tag wurden Speisen jederzeit frisch zubereitet. Und besonders gut haben uns die Cocktails gefallen, die von dem freundlichen Barkeeper zubereitet wurden. Der Sandstrand fängt nach 1-2 Minuten Fußweg an, direkt am Hotel ist es felsig. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen! ”

The beach itself is a bit rocky but easily overcome. The area has many restaurants including one that is part of the family ownership: it was excellent.”

“Perfect hotel! This hotel is run by a couple and their daughter. We received a warm welcome and our check-in went very smoothly! The rooms are actually very comfortable suites, tastefully decorated in a modern, minimalist style with hints of Greek culture. The rooms are very pleasant and, above all, very, very clean! Well done to the cleaning team! The hotel has a large, very pleasant swimming pool with a small bar next to it. There is also a restaurant. An excellent breakfast is served every……

“The hotel delivered what made us choose it: location right in front of the beach, pool, nearby a broad offer of restaurants and other commodities. We were also positively impress by the service minded personnel. However, the cleaning was poor. The floor was often full of sand and dust were never cleaned from the surfaces. ”

“My husband and I came here for our 2 year anniversary and I just have to stay that this resort is beyond beautiful. The food in the Olive restaurant was fantastic and offered many options! Both pools are extremely clean and well kept, they were cold only because we came at a little bit of a colder time. The all inclusive option was very nice and I think necessary for a relaxing vacation. We had a wonderful experience with Royal Rentals in the hotel lobby and go to experience Crete by car which……

“The food was probably the most disappointing thing about High Beach. There were large quantities of food and they were varied. The desserts were generally excellent, the breads were delicious and the cold and uncooked items were generally good but the hot and cooked foods were really poor. None of the food that was supposed to be hot was actually hot. It was all tepid. Even the soup which was in its own supposedly heated electric tureen was barely warm.
