“This was a great value in Kasane. The hotel is close to the airport and offers free van transportation. Common areas and my room were very clean. Breakfast buffet was included in my room charge and was high quality. I had dinner there one night; they offer a buffet as well as a full menu. Swimming pool was nice. Most of the tour operator will pick you up a the hotel also. Staff was pleasant and helpful.”

“Overall I enjoyed the hotel, staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean, but they need a refresh. The rooms were old, worn. I did love the balcony and view of the watering hole (fun to see the many animals), the bed was comfortable, linens soft. We went to the Bomba show hosted at this property. Would highly recommend, food and show were great! Worth it.”

“Very good location with beautiful river view! All the staffs are friendly with smiles. Although there were always big groups of tourists but we’ve been treated well at breakfast and dinner though we were just 2 of us. But the problem was the maintenance. After soaking in the bath just after 9 pm, I tried to have a shower but no hot water came out. No matter how long I waited, nothing happened, so I tried to ring reception—only to find that the telephone cable had come loose and I couldn’t get……

“This Lodge is amazing. Very, very friendly. Very, very clean. Helped with everything that we needed. Highly recommend this place to everyone. ”

“We stayed here for 3 nights and were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is ideally located for visiting Chobe National Park on your own as it is only a few minutes’ drive from the gate. The staff are well trained, very friendly and extremely helpful. This hotel is next to a petrol station and supermarket. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can enjoy good food at a great price. If you prefer not to arrange individual excursions yourself, they……

“If I could give 6+ stars (instead of max 5) for customer service, I would do so. After my tour organizer (avoid: Afrinature) was a no show for one tour and cancelled game drive only hours before, the staff at Hotel in short order called their trusted partners to ensure I didn't miss out on any experience in Kasane. I am just so grateful as some people might have simply said, "too bad." When I come back, I am staying with Hotel Rustiek and arranging my tours thru them. Thank you!!!!”

“Fantastic place location and staff … I do recommend”

“Really enjoyed our stay here. It was such a characterful hotel and our room was gorgeous with beautiful views over the Chobe river from the balcony. The game drives and river cruise were really good and a reasonable price. I would say, the service was very up and down, sometimes outstanding, at other times quite cold and disorganised. The same is true of the game drives, one was incredible, the other was quite mediocre. Food too, sometimes was exceptional (like the BBQ at the poolside bar), at……

“Wir wurden vom gesamten Personal überaus herzlich empfangen und begleitet. Die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel, sauber und geräumig, die Betten sehr bequen. Ausflüge für uns wurden perfekt organisiert. Das Einchecken übers Handy ist etwas aufwendig und es wäre wünschenswert, wenn alle auf der Speisekarte angebotenen Speisen Recht konstant da wären.”

“Hotel is about 15 minute drive to Chobe National Park and to cruise. The Lodge itself is very basic. The maintenance staffs are very attentive and try very hard to make guests comfortable. The sunset cruise is must. Boat operator and guide Sha is so skillful and sensitive. He explains many insightful knowledges on wildlife. He always knows where wildlife are: yawning hippos, fighting crocodiles and lizards, heard of swimming elephants, rare Cape buffalo, birds, hundreds water lilies and……

“The staff was friendly, responsive and extremely helpful.”

“The property was clean, crisp and secure. The pool was so refreshing after a long day. The breakfast was very good and prepared specifically to our liking and serving time. The room was clean and the AC made sleeping at night very comfortable. The staff was friendly, cheerful, and helpful. They secured tours for us, provided local directions, and helped with our take-away food delivery orders. We stayed 3 nights but would've been happy to stay 3 weeks.”

“It was a great stay! Loved the breakfast spread. Also the staff were always so helpful even with organising for Safaris etc, that was a plus and I loved that it was quiet and clean. I will be sure to recommend and also come again.”

“This is a very basic facility. The owner Sipiwe takes care of all your shipping needs and prepares basic but fresh food on the site. She also provides transportation to excursion points and arranged all our excursions which were really great. Improvements needed ”

“sehr gutes Personal, freundliche Leute. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Distans zum Chobe Park ist zu weit.”
