Best about this property was the staff. They were truly wonderful. Special shout outs to Mandeep and Saroj. Of course all the girls and other staff were great as well. Everyone went out of their way to make my stay very enjoyable.

Amazing time in a clean and comfortable room, manager and staff always happy to greet including involving guests in the Tika ceremony of the Dasain festival! Restaurant also delicious with a nice rooftop patio to eat from.

This hotel was just off the main strip in Thamel. It is central to everything & It was situated across from the car park that the trekking companies use so was very convenient for trekking. The staff were all very nice and clean rooms and would definitely stay here again if I had another trekking trip planned.

Comfortably, friendly stay

A very comfortable stay in the centre of Thamel. The room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable, pillows not the best, but slept well. Good sized clean bathroom and shower. Shower had good hot water and pressure. Room has fridge, room safe and tea. 2 litres of bottled water supplied daily. Included Breakfast was ok. The food in the rooftop restaurant was excellent. Had lunch or dinner a number of times over my week long stay - Biryani, Mo-mo, fish with chips and salad etc - all very good. Conveniently placed light switches and powerpoints. Good wifi. Very reasonably priced laundry. Nice cafe on the ground floor in front of reception with good coffee. Lots of shopping, restaurants and bars close by. Best thing about the place though - the very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely their best asset, and made my stay all the better. Highly recommend!

Noticed for his winning personality by a Swiss climber, J was encouraged to climb to new heights on the tourism ladder, and today, his boutique hotel exudes the same charm and warmth that he embodies. The Thamel Boutique Hotel is not just about amenities; what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional training and dedication of its staff. After 30 hours of travel, the sight of a driver waiting at the airport with a welcoming smile was a great relief, and this level of service continued throughout our stay. Returning to the hotel from the bustling, dusty streets of Kathmandu, guests are always greeted with a welcoming smile from the young employees. This heartfelt hospitality is a refreshing contrast to the chaotic city outside. The amenities at Thamel Boutique Hotel are simple and straightforward. The breakfast room on the roof offers a delightful array of foods, catering to both Eastern and Western tastes, while the coffee shop inside the front door provides a cool, air-conditioned retreat. The seating areas invite relaxation, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The rooms are meticulously maintained, with spotless cleanliness being a hallmark of the hotel. Disappointed

Very unfortunate. The staff allowed a group to come back to the hotel around 6am and continue their party in the room. Turining on Loud music and shouting at one another. After a half hour I asked the staff to talk to those guests. The staff did but the guest continued on. I couldnt sleep so i went out... when i returned around noon(12pm) i was hoping to finally get a bit if rest but the staff allowed these crazy people to stay and loudly argue and play loud music until their late checkout around 3 pm. Chaos. Never again. I cant believe the staff allowed this behavior so early in the morning but then also allowed a very late checkout time from tjis crazy group. *Also when i asked for advice on where to get a Sim Card for my phone or to buy Cashmere pashmina they directed me to the shops across the street. Most expensive. Sim card +triple price of the phone store and 10,000NPR Pashminas also some of the most expensive in town. Sim card a deliberate scam and the pashminas well, that is a personal question of quality.

Very nice rooms, wonderful staff, and excellent breakfasts. The area is pretty noisy, and the walls are fairly thin, but we were jet lagged enough it didn’t bother our sleep. If you put a pillow over your head you can’t hear anything. Bed was quite comfortable, on the firmer end of the range. Only tiny issue we had with the room was a slight smell of mildew from the bathroom due to the shower not being enclosed and water getting everywhere. The manager was very prompt to fix the AC unit when it stopped working. The hotel staff were super helpful and nice, and the manager arranges great excursions outside of Kathmandu for good prices. Hotel is in the middle of Thamel so it’s surrounded by tons of shopping, restaurants, and bars. Easy walk to some major sites, like Durbar Square and the Narayanhiti Palace museum, and you can even walk to Monkey Temple if you fancy a bit of a climb. If you take a taxi the hotel staff will tell you how much you should pay.
