This is a great property, well cared for and run. The pool was clean and the kids loved their time here. Highly recommend. Only suggestion would be to make the kitchen utensils etc a little better stocked. Five stars all around - really good value.

Property was great with great pool and breathtaking view. From the pool you can see Zante. However the air-conditioning needs a check. The unit in the kitchen was not blowing cold air at all and the bedroom one wasn't great either. Therefore a bit of a warm night.

Good poolside.

Lovely place.. owner lives on site so is handy if you need anything. Nice pool with good quality furniture around it. I recommend transport of some kind as the location is mountain side and I would have felt trapped without being able to move freely.

Pleasantly surprised by this property as the photos don’t do it full justice. Great views, good amenities on site, whilst there are plenty of tavernas to go at and access to mini supermarkets - all within walking distance. Peter and his mum oversee the place on a day to day basis and are on hand if needed. Special mention goes to their cleaner who appears to be a real grafter! Would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

The location was very nice. 20 min to the beach, where you can have lunch and to places that serve dinner in the immediate vicinity. Well equipped and furnished studios. What I couldn’t stand is communications: way to laid back. Taxi hotel organised didn’t pick us up; on return to airport taxi was 25min late, we nearly missed our flight. They simply didn’t care (“not our fault, we don’t own taxi company”). Owner was super nice but not at all helpful with hints and tips of ways to get around - no bus schedule, in fact didn’t recommend bus, which was totally reliable. More interested in pushing us to his brothers jewellery store. I am coming back next year to kefalonia but won’t be returning to this place.

Only suggestion we would make is that the property has a washing machine for their guests. It would make life a lot easier in this regard. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Gardis, the location was great and we would recommend them to any travellers to Kefalonia.

Perfect for relaxing holiday

Arrived 29th june for 2 weeks have a lovely stay at garbis villas cant fault the place lovely views of lourdas beach from pool area take your pick for sunbeds when you decide to have pool days great places to eat and drink within walking distance hired a car for part of 1st week but happy to just relax at garbis/beach for 2nd I guarantee you cant be disappointed if you choose this for a base for your holiday thankyou irene and Peter for your hospitality

Not close to beach few busses

The property is fine but located at 1.5 km from the beach on a steep hill. Owners were no help with bus schedules station location very grumpy and Euro oriented. There is a car rental near by but you need an international drivers licence a US or Canadian simple DL won’t work. So think of my nightmare having to go pushing up a suitcase on a hill the equivalent of a 15 storey building. The owner had a car and did not offer to take me there it’s literally 5 minutes by car. Now taxi: the trip to Argostoli 12 km or so is 25 euro. The bus ticket for the same 2 euro. You see? Food on the beach is terrible in some places. Some are good but to find the good ones I had to spend some 40 Euro in the local mini market and get the information from a sudden friendlier Greek. Last: the bus driver once answered my Q in English and 10 minutes later when I asked if I could take the bus in the same place the day after to go to Skala refused to answer in En and just said smthg in Greek obviously annoyed. lol be prepared! But on a positive note Kefalonia is amazing.

Garbis Villas is in a wonderful spot - with a wonderful welcome. It is peaceful, with good amount of shade if needed for those not accustomed to the copious amounts of sunshine! It was such a joy to find a place where we could instantly relax.

Beautiful location with amazing sea views. Accommodation was spotless and was cleaned daily. Pool was lovely in a nice setting which meant you didn’t always have to take the short 5 min drive to the beach for a swim. The property is family owned and managed by Irene who lives in one of the apartments. Irene was there when we arrived, showed us round the appartment and told us all about what was available to us in Lourdas. Such a lovely lady. We were invited to her home on our last day where she served us coffee and home made cake. So welcoming, would recommend this property to anyone
