The villa is located in the center of Pilaros valley, in a private olive trees plot, offering a quiet stay in a lovely rural setting and the opportunity for you to experience the serene greek rural life. Away from it all but only 4 min. drive from the sea. Because of its location the house offers privacy combined with wide mountain views. Those who love nature and hiking will discover beautiful walking trails throughout the surrounding small villages and mountains in the valley. Supermarket, bakery and gas station can be found in approximately 500 meters and in approx 1 km you will find Makriotika village square with a mini market, a cafe or indulge in traditional dishes at the local taverna. The quaint village of Agia Efimia, a 4 minute drive, offers all amenities from supermarkets, bars, cafes and tavernas to atm machine, pharmacy, tourist information and car/motorbike/motorboat rental places. There are numerous beautiful pebble coves for you to enjoy swimming and snorkeling and scuba diving lessons can be booked. Other outdoor activities such as horseback riding, water skiing are provided in the area. Within a 10 minute drive you reach the amazing Myrtos beach famed for the beauty of its blue water (voted one of the top ten beaches in the world).
The villa is owned by Spiros and Olga. If you are interested, with Spiros you can visit the apiary where he can show you the process of honey production and the housewife Olga can show you how some traditional greek dishes are cooked.

Fantastic villa in a great location.
The owner, villa and location were all excellent. I have travelled to about 20 different Greek islands staying in a variety of accommodations and this was the best place I have stayed in so far. I highly recommend it. Olga is a fantastic host. The villa is great. The location is very peaceful and quiet. Everything you need is close by. It is also nicer than the pictures which is a rarity. If you want to experience one of the most impressive drives/views in Greece (myrtos beach to assos village) then don’t hesitate to book this place. That scenic part of the island is more impressive than going to Santorini for me.

Großes, sauberes Haus in ländlicher Umgebung
Die sehr freundliche Vermieterin hat uns herzlich mit Kuchen und selbst gemachter Marmelade empfangen und war stets für alle Anliegen verfügbar. Es gab Eier von eigenen Hühnern. Das Haus liegt abseits des Ortes und der Hauptstraße, so dass man seine Ruhe hat. Die Küche ist groß und gut ausgestattet. Der Wohnbereich ist offen; Die Veranda ist von Wohnzimmer und Küche aus erreichbar. In der Nähe ist der wunderschöne Strand Myrthos (ca. 10 Minuten Fahrzeit). Dort gibt es oberhalb auch mehrere Tavernen und einen kleinen Supermarkt.

Best holiday ever
Excellent and homely villa. Host was amazing and helpful. Place was very clean, and spacious.
Host reachable and responded on time and above all checked on us.
I will give them a 5* rating.
I would recommend this villa and would love to visit again.

Stunning spacious villa, ideally situated, exactly as shown in the photographs.You'll love it!
We had a lovely welcome from Sophia, Spiros and his 2 daughters. They left us with a bottle of local wine, delicious homemade chocolate cake and fresh honey.
The villa itself is amazing with its spacious open plan kitchen dining, and stunning balconies from the lounge and both double bedrooms.
The villa is detached and private but very close by car to Agia Efimia which is delightful and where we enjoyed some delicious meals. We had some lovely days out visiting different villages and beaches such as Fiskardo, XI beach and Skala. We would highly recommend the boat trip on the Sami Star 2 which sets out from Sami and visits the island of Ithaca, with 2 opportunities to swim in the sea, and a wonderful stop at a harbour with waterfront tavernas, fabulous! Would suggest arriving early in order to sit on the top deck for the best experience.
For best contact with Sophia, would recommend asking her for her private email rather than via the site. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday staying at the villa and would love to stay there again. Thank you Spiros and family for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Comfortable and spacious villa with beautiful views
Thank you to the owners, Olga and Spiros, and Property Manager Sophia for our wonderful and relaxing stay in Kefalonia - they really couldn't have been more kind and helpful. The house was very roomy and had everything we needed for our fortnight's stay. The views from the balconies over the olive and cypress trees and mountains were wonderful. The location was perfect, as we were only a short drive to the local town with its excellent selection of tavernas and cafes. It was also a pleasant 10 minute walk to the village square and its amazing taverna. It was a bit hot for walking when we were there but there are also a number of hiking trails from the village. We went to a number of jaw-dropping beaches, which were within a short drive of the villa, including Myrtos and Vouti, although the latter did involve a twisty drive down mountain roads but totally worth it.
