Beautiful property

Very spacious downstairs, perfect for a big group. 2 lovely bedrooms with fantastic en suites and 2 good bedrooms with small en suites. Beautiful grounds with river and hot tub a great bonus. Altogether a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Amazing Place to Stay

We were a party of eight and stayed in Riverside Cottage, just one of your available at Low Jock Scar Country Estate. The accommodation is amazing, beautifully decorated and extremely well-equipped, and located in the most tranquil of places. Daryl and Kerith are fantastic hosts, and we’re on hand should we have needed them. We would highly recommend this property as a great base for the Lake District, the North Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales, not too far from all of them!

Fantastic location, clean and comfortable property.

Location by the river is peaceful and scenic. Plenty of great sights and walks a short walk away and a short drive to local amenities. House was clean, spacious and well decorated. Hosts were friendly and didn’t impose on us. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful in every way!

Had the best time at this beautiful cottage. Hosts were fantastic. Grounds were fantastic for my two sons and we all enjoyed watching the local wildlife visit the garden each morning. Hot tub was amazing and the cottage itself was clean, cosy and like home from home. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Daryl and Kerith for a wonderful holiday!

Brilliant location, beautiful house and gardens

We had an amazing week at Riverside Cottage, the house is beautiful and has everything that you could need in a home away from home. All rooms are finished to a very high standard. The Property has stunning grounds, our children loved playing in the stream, building dams and skimming stones. We would love to return this property and can’t recommend it enough to others.

Beautiful cottage in a tranquil location.

The beautiful cottage was set in a tranquil location next to a stream. What a setting. The property was clean and the bedrooms are comfortable. The cottage has everything we needed and more. It is a home for home place. Spacious lounge and kitchen area. Well equipped and furnished. It is a place that we would like to return to and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Much more than expected.

Rarely do you find a place to be much better than expected, but this is the case with Riverside Cottage. We just spent a week in this beautiful setting and have come away refreshed and ready to face the world again. Amazing!

Beautiful property! The website pictures doesn’t do it justice! When we arrived the fire was set, the house was warm and milk and coffee had been left. We enjoyed the hot tub each night despite the rain. Whenever something was needed, Daryl was just a phone call away and went above and beyond! We look forward to coming back to this beautiful property!

A welcome and happy long weekend at this wonderful retreat

We have just returned from a well overdue family reunion staying at this stunning riverside property. It certainly has the wow factor and is so very well equipped. We cannot find fault with it at all and especially loved the hot tub and the beautiful grounds. Sad to leave but hoping to return next year. A special thank you to Daryl for all his attentiveness to our needs. If you book this property you really will not be disappointed, just be careful supervising young children though as close to unfenced river.

Riverside cottage

Spent a week at Riverside would have gladly made it two. Can't fault anything about the cottage it's got everything you need to make it a home from home. But it is the location and grounds which makes this property special. There is alot to see around the gardens. We saw red squirrels.hares with young and deer. Woodpeckers on the bird table feeding their young and a variety of birds oh and a pheasant that comes by most days.A big thank you to Daryl and Kerrith hope to see visit again

Stunning property in a beautiful location

We are just back from a 4 night stay in this amazing cottage. We wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage was exceptionally clean and has everything you could possibly need. The garden and grounds are beautiful and so much space. Our group was 4 adults and 3 children (aged 4 to 8) and the property was just perfect for us. Lots to do in the surrounding areas and some lovely places to eat. A big thank you to Daryl and Kerith for being so helpful and making us feel very welcome. Thanks again, hope to be back soon!

Fantastic escape in the Lakes

Beautiful property, maintained to an excellent standard. Plenty of space and well equipped for our party of 8 (ages 6-45). We loved the sound of the river, local works, facilities, grounds and the hot tub! Great communication with the owner too. Would definitely stay again! Brilliant escape in the Lakes with easy access to walks and attractions.

Family trip

This was a long awaited trip that had been cancelled previous year due to covid. The cottage and gardens are lovely and I can highly recommend a visit. All of the rooms were of a high standard with adequate space. The garden is beautiful and spacious and there is plenty of room for outdoor activities/games if you have children. The hot tub was an additional bonus to be enjoyed.
