Lovely little lodge with everything we needed, and more. Beautiful views both behind the lodge and across to Catbells at the front. It was very peaceful and we were lucky enough to have superb weather most of the time as well. We did loads of fantastic walks and used the local buses up and down the valley and the Keswick launch to get out or back; it was so easy, there was no need to use the car. Hazel and Steve are excellent hosts, couldn't be better - we'll definitely be back.

This small sweet lodge is clean and tidy.

This small sweet lodge is clean and tidy. The setting is stunning, walks from the doorstep. Owners extremely friendly but not intrusive. Not far from bus route if you want to travel around the area without your car.

It was lovely to meet the owners who were very friendly and welcoming, very cosy and warm lodge with the wildlife on the doorstep, if you like walking to the hills then this is the place, there all on your doorstep my partner and I walked to ashness bridge and it was Stunning

A lovely lodge, presented to the highest of standards.

A lovely lodge, presented to the highest of standards. Glorious views from each window. It was a delight to come back to after a long day walking and to sit in the private garden watching the sun set. Hazel and Steve were so welcoming and friendly with helpful advice on the local area. Superb.

The cottage was wonderful, and in an ideal setting in Borrowdale.

The cottage was wonderful, and in an ideal setting in Borrowdale. it was a delight to stay in and had everything you would need. The bed was so comfortable, it was the perfect end to a day of walking. It was set in such perfect location. There was no need to use your car, as there were many walks you could start and finish at the cottage. There was also a bus service some 200 metres from the cottage if you wanted to venture further a field. There was also a number of places to eat within walking distance. The owners Hazel and Steve were very helpful with suggestions for walks etc. We are looking forward to returning.
