Great location close to centre of Keswick
The location of this property and the area it sits in are all perfect. The property itself however is a little tired inside and out and could do with some updating/ decorating. The double bed is so hard to the point that I found it uncomfortable and not easy to sleep in. Communication with Cumbrian cottages that run the property was non existent. I sent 2 messages prior to our stay and didn’t get an answer to either. In the end I phoned a helpline number for cottages.com and managed to speak to someone once we arrived at the property to get the key code, which was a bit frustrating. Also, Vrbo confirmed different times for getting into the property and check out times. When we arrived we found out that Cumbrian cottages don’t let you in until 5pm and ask you to leave at 9 am.

This is the third time we have stayed at this cottage and always have a lovely week. It is conveniently close to the main town whilst being in a quiet location. It only takes 10 minutes to walk into town for the lake, cinema, pub, shops etc. Walks from the door include Latrigg and Skiddaw.
The kitchen is pretty well equipped and has a dishwasher.

Replacement for previous booking.
Replacement for previous booking. Bit dark and characterless but warm and well equipped. Information on activating the heating would be useful and which bin is which outside.
Parking on road was ok but this is mid September, probably more difficult at other times. Thought it was a bit pricey for what it offered.

Lovely cottage in a quiet part of Keswick but it's an easy walk into town - delightful to walk through Fitz Park. Would definitely book again. Only a few tiny niggles: swimming pool was closed throughout our stay, the cottage could do with more knives and forks (6 of each only) - we were forever rinsing them between courses, the bath is on the short side, the door to the understairs cupboard sticks and the back garden could do with some TLC.

Definitely the best accommodation in Keswick that we’ve stayed in.
Definitely the best accommodation in Keswick that we’ve stayed in.
The cottage is spaced out well and has everything you will need for self Catering .
The location is ideal as it is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and next to Fitz park.
Although you don’t have a dedicated parking space there was always somewhere to park.
It is a peaceful location and only the noise of the river behind the property which is very relaxing. Would definitely return

We had a great week at Brundholme Glen, Keswick within walking distance, park even closer great for the dog. The cottage is well equipped, settees and bed comfortable, a few small niggles the Henry vacuum cleaner did stink when used, the lights are a bit dim older type energy saver bulbs and the seal on the shower screen needs changing.

Great holiday overall, the cottage could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up,and it would be nice to have a king size bed as I would say it was a small double, the instructions for the central heating were not all that clear but we managed to work it out. This property is in a great location but the photos of the park are a bit miss leading making you think you walk into the park from the back garden, when in fact the river is at the bottom of the garden and there is a small muddy path to an opening that leads to the park. The location of the property is great being in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk into the town centre, Would I stay here again more then possible but only because of the location as there are many properties in the area at a better price

We were 5 adults and a dog staying here for a weeks holiday in June. The cottage provided everything we could wish for and more. We mainly ate out as there are so many wonderful cafes and restaurants in Keswick but had we wished to the kitchen is so well equipped a three course dinner would have been simple.
The cottage was very clean if a little "tired" in places and again all equipment was there to keep it that way. An excellent shower, lots of hot water and we only needed the central heating once! I would've awarded a 10 for comfort but a couple of the beds were a little uncomfortable and would perhaps benefit from a new mattress.
Gaining access was simple, as was leaving in fact the whole booking process was quite straight forward with plenty of instructions made available.
The location was perfect. Access to the park via the back gate meant heading into town with the dog was a doddle. It's only a short walk to town, the lake and the leisure centre but quietly snuggled away from the hustle and bustle. Its also well situated if you fancy greater adventures being practically at the bottom of Skiddaw and buses and boats are frequent and well time tabled.

Really cosy cottage in an excellent position however the bath was not of standard size which I realise space is limited but I do think in the description this should be mentioned as I would never stay in anywhere with only a shower or a small bath
Other than that it was fine
