“Great location in Orange County Va farm land very close to many attractions and with in reach to Charlottesville for a day trip via country road route 20 ( no traffic lights). The cottage is an outbuilding on the Bloomingdale Farm property that is surround by working farms. The view from the porch is peaceful and relaxing with the Blue Ridge off in the distance. The cottage is rustic with old wide plank pine floors that creek with every step. The first floor sitting room has a large working wood……

When we stayed there was construction on both sides (the only downfall of trip)- otherwise, fantastic spot, great fishing and would return!”

“This house is exactly as pictured and described in the listing. It was very clean, spacious and inviting. It is perfect for a large group. Additionally, we were welcomed with fresh flowers, wine, and baked goods - such a thoughtful touch. The house also already had pretty much everything you need - towels (even makeup ones), coffee, tea, soap, etc. The location of the house is great - everywhere we wanted to go downtown (restaurants etc) were 5 minutes max driving. “House was comfortable and cozy, in a quiet, leafy neighborhood. Beds were super comfy, bedding was very nice. Well appointed kitchen and great outdoor dining area. A few glitches: 1. “The property was in a neighborhood where I felt safe to stay there. The bed was pretty comfy. Nice dining area and fridge to keep your drinks/snacks cold. Eveything was explained ahead of time so that there wasnt any confusion at check in. Owner was very responsive when I needed assistance. There were a couple of rhings I wanted to point out to the owner, just to better help them with their future stays.
