Reviewer Comments:
I stayed at the property with my kids, along with my sister and her family, each in separate 1br/2ba units with ocean views. My unit (A103) certainly had the better ocean view of the two, but the interior amenities were comparatively lacking. For instance, my sister's unit (H106) was impeccably modernized and decorated while mine looked like it hadn't been painted or redecorated since the late 80's, with dated, uncomfortable (and oddly GIANT) wicker furniture throughout the living room. Her kitchen was fully stocked with oils and spices, while mine did not even include salt and pepper (we ended up buying some while we were in town). Her unit had an abundance of beach towels and gear, while mine had significantly less gear, including a broken boogie board, a rusted/bent and unusable beach umbrella, and only a single beach towel. We ended up buying beach towels while we were in town because bringing bath towels to the beach felt silly. The management company could alleviate some of this by maintaining minimum standards for amenities in the kitchen and the linen closet, and the owners could definitely do more to beautify the interior. Overall, we enjoyed the property pools, Kihei, and the surrounding areas so much that the lackluster interior of our unit was only a blip, but it was a bit frustrating upon arrival to see that we had paid the same price as the others in our group for significantly less. I wish we'd known how widely the unit interiors would vary when we booked.
