The View

The view definitely sold us. The condo is a little older, but clean and had enough space for 2 families of 3. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets on the lanai. The view was amazing. The kids enjoyed the beach and the pool. Great location.

First time rental at resort

Unit was clean - comfortable for our family but appliances have wate and tear - had issues with wifi - tv s in bedrooms didn't function - 1 was from the 80's..tube....big issue was with patio doors functioning - full of mud...spent hour cleaning the tracks - so could use one to use patio. Wife could barely open the door. Screen door rollers shot..Overall unit was ok but needs tender loving care and up dating.

Beachfront beauty

Classic beachfront in Kihei. Sand, sun, surf and ocean breezes. Almost no noise from the adjacent and busy N. Kihei Road. Bed comfortable. Kitchen with everything necessary for 2! We will be back!

The view from this 5th floor are incredible! Location is easily accessible to the entire island. Beach front property with everything you need. The condo does need some upgrades but for the little amount of time you are there it is not a deal breaker. The sofa bed is really not acceptable to sleep on - it’s very old, thin, and you can feel all of the springs.….

Amazing views; spacious

Great views of ocean and sunsets. Steps from long beach walks; watch whales and sea turtles from lanai; short drive to Kihei with good restaurants and parks. Condo is a little worn but comfortable with 6 comfy dining chairs. Left en suite has comfortable king bed. Right has comfy queen plus a single day bed. Full size washer and dryer was great. Drying rack on lanai was appreciated. Lots of pots and pans, plates etc. Great space for 4 adults or family of 5.

Wanted to give higher rating

This is a great location and loved that the beach is just steps from the beach. It is also located in an area where it is not surrounded by a lot of other resorts. I want to give the unit a higher rating but unfortunately both shower areas contained mold. We felt comfortable using one of the showers. The unit was clean enough that we didn't feel a need to request a new unit, but the unit could use some tlc and deep cleaning.

Family retreat on sugar beach

Sugar beach is one of my favorite places in Maui. Our condo at sugar beach was spacious enough for our family of 4. The location of the condo was ideal to view the beach and the pool. While the unit is very dated, It was equipped with everything we needed and more for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfy based on my families review of the second bedroom and the king bed in the primary suite was awesome. At first, we were a bit confused by the 2 shower heads in the primary shower but it wasn't an issue. My mother uses a walker, so just some things to know if you travel with someone with mobility issues: There are 3 steps to enter into the condo that I needed to assist with her and her walker, and the shower in the 2nd bedroom has a tub that does not have a shower bench or a removeable shower head for showering, it was difficult for her to shower and it was inconvenient for her to use the one in the primary bathroom as that was my partner and our room. The unit is very close to the elevator but there were several power outages that left us without usage of the elevator during part of 2 days of our trip so that it something to consider, I had to leave my mom in the unit because she could not use the stairs. The unit is on the 5th floor. Also, there are highwinds in this area and the wifi went out often. We were doing a partial work trip as well, so my partner and I had to cancel several meetings due to wifi issues. I'd suggest if you book this area/condo, be prepared to completely unplug and not plan to work or contact outsiders, because the power and wifi are unpredictable. Lastly, the regular check out time is really early for an elderly person on a sleep and medicine regime. I did request a late check out due to my mother's needs and they were going to charge me to stay until 2, I informed them that 12pm would be sufficient but they told me they could not honor that and only gave me until 11. We did our best and got out before the housekeeper came. All in all, the unit is ideal for many, but not so ideal for someone with mobility or medical issues.

Nothing short of Spectacular!

This was our first time renting out a condo and this property was exactly as what was shown and written in the description. The sheets were clean along with the dishes and all the appliances worked. Trust me this area is in the middle of south and west side of the island so it’s a great spot to stay at and the view is just lovely!

512 at Sugar Beach

Honestly the room and location were great, very close to near by shops and restaurants, not to mention the beach is steps away. Only major complaint: We were there for a week and had no access to the snorkel/beach gear that was advertised. We tried daily with VACASA to contact the owners but never heard back. Luckily my in-laws were a few doors down so we shared with them, but would’ve been nice to use what was promised.

Amazing vacation

Our family had an amazing vacation here. The resort was clean and easy access to other activities on the island. It was well stocked (coolers, beach towels etc. that kept our luggage to a minimum) and the manager responded very quickly to the one issue I had. The hair dryers in the unit did not work. I had a brand new one is a couple of hours after calling. Other guests were friendly and courteous so no loud nosies etc. Would love to return!!

Amazing place with million dollar views

This is definitely one of the larger 2 bed/2bath places we stayed that was nice and roomy. This location is tough to beat after exploring around Maui. The pool, hot tub, and grills were cleaned very well daily. The double sized lanai/balcony was super awesome and views to the ocean and island was so nice….also being so close to the beach and wake up to the ocean sounds and breeze. Some stuff can be updated in the unit but that’s just being a little bit picky. Host were great too! Highly recommend and will look to book again.
