Bring your own kayak, paddle boards, and crab traps or use ours. There’s room for 2 boats to dock.
There are many activities to do such as throwing Horseshoes, playing table tennis or relaxing at the fire pit.
Located about 2 miles up Dividing Creek, from the Chesapeake.
Here at Dividing Creek House, you can find quiet places to read or relax. There is a game room with a large card table, shuffleboard, 75” TV with DVD, Xbox360, Wii and WiFi/satellite TV.
Visit Colonial Williamsburg, Water Country and Bush Gardens an hour away!

Great for groups!
Seven adults, one house, so-so weather...could be a recipe for disaster. But no! The unique layout of this beautiful home, the abundant amenities (ping-pong and Wii we're extremely popular), and the views of Dividing Creek made this a spectacular weekend, with no one in each other's way. Highly recommend!

Great home!
The home was very well equipped and clean with comfortable beds and great water pressure. We all enjoyed the dock with the kayaks, paddle boards and crab traps. The nearby beach was nice and the kids enjoyed being able to walk out far into the warm water to play without being pummeled by waves. The town is close by and has some cute shops (note - many are closed on Mondays). Horn Harbor Restaurant is nice and the tiki bar with a little beach is also a fun outing.
CONS: The only cons were the slow wifi and spotty cell data service which made it hard to do any work remotely. There is a coffee shop in town that is set up nicely to get some work done.
We also had a few days with jellyfish off of the dock so I suggest bringing Sea Safe lotion just in case as we couldn't find any in town. We found a website that gives a daily prediction of where the most jelly fish will be, but I can’t post the link in the review.

Great spot for vacation
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Ok plenty of room for people to sleep and move about the house. Great dock to swim,kayak and fish from. Caught some crab but there weren’t many around during our stay so they all when back into water to live another day. Definitely would stay here again

Fantastic Getaway - 2nd Year in a Row!
This is our second year on the Rivah in this fantastic getaway! There is something to do for every age. My two young grandchildren loved the swings and the dock. Plenty of indoor entertainment for them as well. My teenage and early 20s neices and nephews loved the game room, ping pong table, darts, the paddle boards, and the kayaks. We used them all!
The dock was perfect for crabbing and we had several nights of picking crabs on the table and chairs out there. We were also able to dock our boat and sailboat for trips to the beach each day.
The house is set up perfectly for families. Loads of amenities for everyone and plent of space for multiple uses at the same time.
We had a great week with great weather! Thanks so much to the owner for letting us add a day - we didn't have to travel I95 on Saturday and had one more day together in this beautiful location.
The neighbors were great, super friendly and let the grandchildren play with their dogs. The communication before and during with the owner was very helpful and loaded with details to help us plan.
We will be planning next year's trip soon!

Beautiful home by the water
The beautiful house was furnished beautifully and it had so many little extras. The beds were quite comfortable; the screen porch was wonderful for some of our meals; the paddle boards, kayaks and fishing were great. We had so much fun.

Amazing time
Great Host with super fast response. Property was super clean (felt like I was staying at luxury resort with all amenities provided) We had great time(13 people) . Tip- if you want to go to the beach the one that's few min away can only accommodate 11 cars go to state park instead it's 30 min away but well worth it)

Lovely home with a beautiful view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kilmarnock. The home is very nice, clean and they provided everything we needed for a family weekend: wish we’d come during warmer weather. It was too cold to enjoy the waterfront (dock, kayaks…) However, the view from inside the house is gorgeous too!

Perfect Pace for Labor Day Weekend
We truly enjoyed our time at the river over Labor Day weekend. The views were amazing and we all had a blast on the water with the paddle boards and kayaks. Dividing Creek is a very quiet creek and it allowed for us to explore with now wake. And our friends have a house up the creek which was fun to go visit them! The fire pit area was lovely and we spent as much time as we could outside. Thank you!

Kilmarnock Family Vacation
The house was perfect for our family. Lots to do for all and plenty of room to do it. The things that were supplied were a bonus. Chairs, Kayaks, anything you could possibly imagine. It was so nice to have lots of good towels, toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning supplies. Great washer and dryer! Look forward to next year!

I would stay here again!!
Beautiful property with everything needed for an extended family getaway: watercraft, games of all sorts, DVDs, space to spread out, and linens too. Our favorite spot was the screened-in porch overlooking the water.
