Ryokans in Kitakatsuragi District

"This hotel was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The hotel rooms have a proper ryokan feel and the hotel staff are the nicest people I have came across in Japan. We didn’t even ask them for a shuttle pick up from our bus stop but a car with a driver was already there They provide free shuttle to and fro Sukurai station which I wish I knew from before. Oh and the views from the rooms are just exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. My only regret is that...

"We had a lovely time here! We were travelling by public transport, and this spot is a little of out of the way, but they sent a shuttle to the train station and it was easy to arrive. It was not clear from their website that the restaurant would not be open for dinner, and the closest restaurant by foot (other than McDonald's) was a 30 minute walk away. That was no problem; we had a nice walk, a great dinner, and really loved the onsen!"

The room was comfortable and clean and had a great view. I drank so much good tea and bathed in a tea bath while learning about the history of tea. If you love tea you will love this place. "It is a 3 storey building with no elevator so if you have heavy luggage and are staying on floor 2 or 3 you will need to carry it up the stairs. Washing machine and drying function in the bathroom was fantastic."
