“If you want a quiet, historical experience, then this is the venue. It's not new, shiny - but that is not why you go there. It is a beautiful Tudor-style hotel, with old fixtures, antique windows, and the charm of a storybook castle. The innkeeper is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. “The room was spotless and I have all the space I need to be extremely comfortable. The host and hostess have gone out of their way to make me comfortable. The motel is surrounded by gorgeous views of the mountains and there are shops nearby for anything anyone might need. The motel is a wonderful place to stay and rest. I highly recommend the Appalachian Motel. Definitely a 5 star experience. ”
