When we arrived, the front desk experience was disappointing. The staff member, who appeared to be Caucasian, didn’t acknowledge me even though I was standing directly in front of him. He seemed to be writing something and didn’t look up or offer assistance, so after waiting a a fewe seconds, like ten, I had to initiate the conversation myself and let him know I wanted to check in. This made me feel ignored and unwelcome. The room arranged for us was at the first floor. The bedding had an unpleasant smell, which made it hard to feel comfortable or relaxed. It gave the impression that the linens weren’t properly cleaned or aired out before our arrival.
