Experience under a glass roof in Utsuvaara, welcome to Levi Sky Iglo!
Igloo-style cabin, glass walls and ceiling allows you to admire starry sky, northern lights and nature. Fully equipped cabin with decent kitchen and laundry facilities. Luxurious 6-person hydro massage bath tub (ready-to-use) on the terrace.
The cabin was built in December 2021, so the equipping is exactly what you see in the pictures! The open kitchen has plenty of storage space, there is enough space for grocery shopping for up to a week. The living room has spacious sofa bed (2 adults), hefty yankee-style double bed in the loft (maximum height of the loft is 1.75 m), private sauna with window and dimmable lights, washroom/WC and terrace.
The glass roof is heated (both indoor and outdoor), so it stays clear despite changing weather. Indoor heating prevents the feeling of cold air near the window.
The Igloo has 55” nanocell smart TV with wall mount (antenna signal) and 40“ smart TV (online media, Netflix, Amazonprime, etc.) in the loft for watching evening movies. At your disposal are also microwave oven, washing machine with drying functionality, air source heat pump (also for cooling in summer), hair dryer. The cabin always has a wonderful warm floor, thanks to the underfloor heating.
There is a ski storage cabinet attached to the outer wall (located backside of the cabin). Sky Iglo offers an exciting holiday for both couples and families. A family with two children can easily stay in this cabin for a week. There is a ski storage cabinet attached to the outer wall (located backside of the cabin). Equipment of the cabin includes also sled and toboggan for children.
Levi bypass and mountain bike trail nearby (150 m). The nearest ski slope is Taalo slope (distance by car 1.5 km), South slope South Point 4 km. Levi tourist center 7 km.
Double bed is always premade, and final cleaning and towels are included in each booking. Bed linen (including towels) for the sofa bed is provided in the stack for bookings of more than 2 people.

Communication for this property was tense. We weren’t sure when we were getting the code to the front door but finally received it 15 minutes before checkin. No communication prior to that which caused us to call the management company twice. Unfortunately they were in a different country so all they could do was leave a message for the person with the code. However we had already called, texted and emailed multiple times with no answer. Once there, the place was clean. However the heat unit was rough and very loud. It sat against the wall and vibrated the whole place. It was very difficult to sleep. Not a peaceful stay at all

Levi Sky Iglo
Haus Nr. 6A in einer kleinen Ferienhaussiedlung, im Wald auf einer Anhöhe gelegen, guter Ausgangspunkt für das Skigebiet. Die Privatsphäre ist gewährleistet. Das Glasdach ist beheizt, so daß man mit ein wenig Glück im Bett liegend Polarlichter sehen kann. Den Whirlpool konnten wir selbst bei minus 25°C Außentemperatur nutzen, er war dennoch 38,5° warm. Auch die Sauna funktionierte einwandfrei. Alle Bilder entsprechen der Realität.
Als kleiner Kritikpunkt könnte lediglich die Luftwärmepumpe genannt werden, die das Haus zwar gut heizt, jedoch bei minus 25°C einen gewissen Lautstärkepegel entwickelt, der mich nicht gestört hat, meine Partnerin jedoch nachts gelegentlich geweckt hat.
Insgesamt ein tolles Haus, wir werden gerne wiederkommen in der Hoffnung, beim nächsten Mal mehr Glück hinsichtlich der Polarlichter zu haben. Leider gab es in der Woche vom 10. bis 17.12.2022 in Levi keine zu sehen.
