Nice place.

We had a great stay at the Madrisa Lodge. It is a very convenient place to stay if you're playing to go to the Madrisa ski area.

Not Perfect, but VERY Good

This was a wonderful hotel. First points, it is a 3 minute walk from the Klosters Dorf train station. There aren't many food places right there, but if you don't mind taking a bus, taking a cab, or walking 20-plus minutes, there are many things within range. If you are there for skiing, it is a 3 minute walk to the nearest gondola, and the skiing is wonderful. Oh, and the hotel has a ski room downstairs to store wet gear so that you don't have to fill your room with it. As for the hotel itself... the people were all very nice, the food was very good, and you could tell it was taken care of. There are no elevators, though, so just know that if you have any mobility issues to request a lower-floor room (and if you can't do stairs at all, you may need to look elsewhere). The rooms themselves were very nice (hot water, comfortable beds, clean rooms). One minor negative... you need to reserve dinner by 1630 at latest, or you won't be able to get in, so please know that.
Outside of the hotel.
The room door. On the "3rd Floor" (European style; ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor). A lot of stairs.
They use physical keys with big key chains. I really liked it; easy to keep, hard to lose, and never gets demagnetized.
Single bed room. Not huge, but more than enough for just one person.

Le personnel est très disponible et très aidant. Noellia nous a aidé pour trouver un restaurant et nos activités. Le seul bémol est l’absence d’ascenseur et la difficulté d’avoir accès à un restaurant à proximité. La vue sur la montagne est sublime.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt mit guter Anbindung

Eine Woche in der Schweiz - erschwinglicher als gedacht! Nach freundlichem Empfang (Welcome Drink inklusive) bezogen wir unser geräumiges Zimmer. Fenster bergauf und Balkon Richtung Tal. Ganz leise war es nicht, da einerseits die Fahrzeuge auf der Durchgangsstraße ihren Beitrag leisteten und andererseits der Bahnhof auf der Balkonseite lag. Wir hatten etwas Pech, da man gerade dabei war, den Bahnhof umzubauen und fast die ganze Nacht gearbeitet wurde. Trotz sommerlicher Temperaturen war das Zimmer angenehm temperiert. Das Frühstück war absolut ok. Einzig ein paar Gurkenscheiben oder Tomaten lagen nicht aus. Sonst war alles reichlich da. Wir hatten Halbpension und waren mir den Gerichten sehr zufrieden - sowohl bezüglich der Menge, als auch des Geschmacks. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und wenn es mal länger gedauert hat gab es ein Getränk auf´s Haus. Alles Gründe wiederzukommen. Die Seilbahn zur Madrisa-Alm ist zu Fuß nur wenige Minuten entfernt, auch die Seilbrücke am nahegelegenen Bach mit Wasserfall ist eine kleine Abendrunde wert. Durch gute Anbindung mit Bus und Bahn kommt man schnell zu den anderen Orten in der Nähe.

Der Service war langsam ( vor allem beim Einchecken) und nicht besonders freundlich - auch wenn es der letzte Tag vor dem bestimmt wohlverdienten Urlaub und der Schließung ist, darf das Frühstücksbüffet nicht eine Stunde vor Ablauf der Zeit leer sein - auf Nachfrage erhielten wir noch etwas , der junge Kellner war zumindest bemüht und freundlich

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, leider hatte es am Bahnhof eine Baustelle und die arbeiteten die ganze Nacht durch mit Schlaghammer etc. Ich konnte überhaupt nicht schlafen, da wäre ich gerne vor informiert worden, so hätte ich das Zimmer wechseln können oder irgendwo anderst einchecken.

Das Hotel ist sehr günstig zum Skigebiet Madrisa gelegen, leider war für unser Auto der versprochene Parkplatz nicht verfügbar, wir mussten auf dem bezahlten öffentlichen Parkplatz Parken. Das Zimmer war kleiner und einfacher in der Ausstattung als auf den Fotos.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Receptionistin war äusserst zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer sehr gepflegt und gemütlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist wunderbar! Schade sind wir nicht länger geblieben!

Cheep and cheerful in the most positive way

A small and ultra-friendly team together with a comfortable, large and clean room make the Madrisa Lodge a great place to stay for a comparatively competitive price: in my experience similar locations in Klosters will typically charge higher rates. The location is perfect if you want to focus on the Madrisa mountain, Gotschna is an easy bus ride away
