「Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. 」

「We had a lovely stay in the Beacon View accommodation. It has a back deck with a superb view so we were disappointed it rained for the whole time lol. Perfect spot for exploring the South Downs National Park, or hopping to Lewes, or like us a day trip to Drusillas Zoo....」

Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.」

「From just the perspective of location and staff I would give my 5 days stay here better marks,but so much is wrong. My ground floor room (7) had a window that would only open 2 inches and it overlooked a temporary rubbish dump. I closed it all day as I was worried about rats coming in. I could hear water running down there on many occasions and it wasn’t raining. Also staff went down there to make phone calls and neighbours were noisy. Very hot and no fans. Rooms are cleaned every other day...
