Cool hostel, horrible bed

Good hostel but just because of the rooms, I would not come back. Rooms have time adjusted AC that only works after sunset to cool down room for sleeping. If you want to rest during the day, then it's too hot. Mattress is some kind of none-breathable type, so you get very sticky to it. Also the design of bed frame is very bad if you get the top bed. There's no place to put a bottle of water without the risk of it to roll down during the night. Should be a shelf at least. Outside on the other hand is great. Hammocks, events, spacious, pool, and restaurant and good happy hour. They also have scooter rental with ok price. But I preferred to support a local family down the road for scooter. This hotel/hostel is the first in my many travels in Thailand who want to keep your passport (or pay 2000 deposit) . They don't make reservation on credit card. Personally I'd stay somewhere else, but could drop by for chill and events. That's just how bad my experience was with the beds and AC policy. Sidenote: there's a club at the beach who play load music to at least 2 or 3 am several days a week. This music reaches your bedroom. If you're a light sleeper, then this hostel is not your cup of tea.

Great stay

Great stay, friendly and nice staff! Garden is big , they have pool table and nice common area for chilling and ordering food and drinks, 2 min walk to the beach from hostel.

Had a great time at Blanco as a solo traveller and met great people, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The staff where nice constantly asking if we all where okay. The hostel was extremely clean.

Blanco has been one of my favourite hostels. The staff are amazing and the whole hostel has such a great vibe. So close to the beach and can rent a scooter to get to other places. Everyone who comes has extended their stay here

Loads of different people to socialise with, BBQ was lovely! Only thing is we didn’t get told by Expedia that breakfast was included, and we ended up buying breakfast from the hostel when we didn’t need too! 😬
