We have tried different dishes from most of the food stalls and feel this one has the best quality, consistency, taste and price. They make a great Tom Khai Kai, Pad Se-eew Goong and Pad Thai(no tofu at it is dried out). Enjoy. #market

Trevlig personal med fräscha rum och rooftop. Nära stranden! Mindre bra var lyhördheten men annars väldigt prisvärt.

Séjour très agréable, l'hôtel est très bien placé, près de la plage de Chaweng et surtout près d'un très bon restaurant thai, le sitca. Les chambres sont propres et bien tenues, très bon rapport qualité prix.

Vennlig og hyggelig personale. Rene rom. Dersom du reiser på lavbudsjett er det å anbefale. Rooftop basseng med restaurant som er bra. Ellers ligger hotellet med relativ gangavstand til det meste. Eneste minus er at rommene er veldig små. Ingen plass til skap eller noe å henge opp klær eller lignende

We loved the cheeky monkey. The staff was on top of any issue we had. Our safe wouldn’t open and our hot water wasn’t working and they sent someone up immediately to fix it up. The rooms were clean and quiet and the rooftop bar and pool was great. Highly recommend

Its alright..

Nice hotel, front desk staff were helpful for booking tours and taxi's. Room was nice, however we did get a lot of mosquito's in our room which we belive was due to the door not sealing properly (gap at top and bottom). Pool area was smaller then expexted from the photos and a lot more run down then expected, yet nice enough. Atmosphere was not as expected, thought it would be quite social, however barely saw another person in the hotel for our week stay. Downside was the noise, our room was located on the bottom floor and we would be woken every morning at around 6am, usually due to staff walking up and down the hallway on walkie talkies.. god knows what they were doing, but this was usually loud and consistent for the entire morning. Would recommend requesting a room on a higher floor to maybe stop this issue. Lastly, locations not great, while theres enough places around, if you want to be in the centre of things this is not the place to stay, is about a 25 minute walk to the busy area.

Hallo in die Runde, bin wieder einmal auf Tour. Heute ein kleiner Beitrag zu Cheeky Monkey's. Ich war hurt für ein paar Tage bevor es weiter geht. Ich kann die Unterkunft empfehlen, saubere Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, Klima, Kühlschrank und ein TV (TV Brauch man hier aber nicht). Auf dem Dach ist noch eine Poolbar. Ist ein bisschen vom Trubel entfernt. Aber zu Fuß in gut 5-10 min erreichbar. Der Strand ist auch in 5 erreichbar. Rollervermietung ist auch vor Ort möglich. ( Rechtzeitig reservieren) Aber in der Nachbarschaft gibt es auch welche. Kleinigkeit ist nicht so toll bei einigen Zimmern ist das Fenster vor einer Wand, bei einigen in den Flur. Wenige Zimmer mit Aussicht.Mehr

Good stay at Cheeky Monkey

Stay was good. Check is was a breeze. Room was as promised. Keep in mind the rooms are small. Rooftop pool and resto/bar were nice, however the food/drinks were a bit expensive.

Happy and modern

A happy hotel with limited space. Staff were very helpful, roof top pool area was very friendly with good food and beer. The room was very small but no more than could be expected for the price and after all it is just a back packers hotel. There are no cupboard spaces in the room except 2 drawers under the sink so you have to live out of your back pack. The rooms are air conditioned so it’s omfy at night and the beds are good. Hire a scooter from the hotel as there is no deposit, just leave your passport in their safe, normally I wouldn’t do this but it’s very modern and secure, also the scooters are a little cheaper there. Over all a modern friendly cheap hotel close to the beach and night life. Would stay again.

Exceptionally good value!

We stayed a Cheeky Monkey for 7 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but it was very clean and comfortable. We were offered clean towels, bottles of complimentary water and new toilet paper everyday. We had a fridge and TV in the room, and the air con worked well. The rooftop pool/bar was a great space to socialise/ relax. They have a free buffet 3 nights a week! The WiFi was excellent and bike rental was cheap. Location was fantastic! Plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and markets nearby. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach and the seafood market, 10 minutes to the food night market and about 20 minutes to the main drinking area and main souvenir markets. Plenty of cheap jeepneys around if you don’t want to walk. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Koh Samui now!

First they put us in this small moldy room with no windows. They changed us to this other room that actually had a balcony which is much better! Room was very small. Staff was friendly. Rooftop bar was ok. I would pay more and stay in a better place.

We paid a bit extra for a balcony room. This was definitely worth it! Lovely upstairs area and provided free buffet food if you buy a drink on certain nights which was an added bonus.

Misleading

I extended my stay and paid through hotels.com and specifically booked a double room, this has a balcony and I could try my things. When I went downstairs despite already booking and paying I was told this room is not available and was disappointed. The receptionist wasn’t as nice as the other ones, also when it was happy hour I got charged full price on Wednesday and I don’t think I will stay here again.

Rooms are ok, a bit small but I didn’t expect anything more for the price that I paid. Receptionists are friendly and willing to help with anything. The only big issue that I had with this hotel is that every morning room cleaning staff was extremely loud..and I really mean extremely loud.. they were talking really loud.. laughing.. using their walkie talkies just outside my room door. sometimes they started their job about 7AM and I think it should be common sense that nobody wants to wake up at that time on their holiday, I tried to tell them that I am trying to sleep so please be quiet, but nothing changed. Other then that hotel is reasonable for the price that I paid.. convenient location, clean rooms, helpful receptionists.

Lovely place to stay

Had an amazing stay , the place was modern clean and tidy and staff v friendly . Only downside was beds a little hard and lumpy pillows, also no where to put clothes but didn’t ruin our stay n would definitely stay again and recommend . Local to everything on Koh Samui and as well as rooftop pool and bar the beach was 5 mins away

Bra hotell!

Trevliga rum och personal, däremot var utsikten från fönstren en betongvägg så det var lite tråkigt. Högst upp fanns en rooftop bar med mysig pool! Även närområdet var bra, nära till fin strand och centrum.
