Wonderful Hostel

We really loved this hotel! Breakfast every morning was wonderful and the family that runs the hostel is so kind and helpful. The only downside is that it is a 15 minute walk (downhill) to the beach and uphill back to the hotel. We didn’t really mind as we usually packed a day bag and only made one trip there and back each day. My one other comment would be that we were in the room right next to the road and it could get quite noisy at night/during the day with bikes going up and down the hill. Bring earplugs! Overall, I would recommend it if you don’t mind walking to the beach.

Terrible service

When I got there to check in nobody was there and I sat around for awhile. Then when I checked in and got to my room it’s nothing but a mattress on some nailed in boards holding it up. Things got worse. The whole site is under construction so from 7am-6pm you can’t rest. Don’t plan on sleeping in or getting a mid day nap after diving. I stayed 4 days and my room was never cleaned and when I asked for at least new towels I was told no. I only get the one for my four day stay. Guess I should have checked out each day to have my room cleaned and to get a new towel. It’s hard to find a worse place to stay.

Perfect place in Koh Tao!

Life Koh Tao is AMAZING!!!! Seriously, book this place right now! We feel so lucky that we found it and were able to spend 4 nights there. It's a small, family owned hotel that we feel is a hidden gem in Koh Tao. The staff are so kind and very accommodating. They were able to take our laundry and have it back to us the next day at a great price. They also arranged a taxi for our us for our 5am departure and got up with us to make sure we made it off okay. Really going above and beyond. We really loved the concrete and brick style that kept the room cool and it also had the BEST AC. Which, if you've ever been in Koh Tao you know is one of the most important things to have. The room was big, clean, and well maintained. The shower was big and had great water pressure and hot water. The balcony is one of the best parts and has amazing views! I attached a photo from one of the sunsets we watched up there. There is a market right down the street with everything you need and an awesome family owned little restaurant that we highly recommend. It's about a 15 minute walk to Sairee beach which was perfectly fine with us. We enjoyed being a little bit away from all the noise at the beach and didn't mind the walk at all. We've been traveling in SE Asia for 4 weeks now and this is our very favorite place we have stayed. I wish they had one every where we went! Thank you so much for a perfect stay. We can't wait to come back!!

Fabulous find!

We stayed here for two nights when in ko tao. The room was gorgeous, lots of light and space and a clean bathroom. Bed was super comfy and I slept like a log. It's about 10/25 mins from the main part of town and up a bit of a hill but we didn't mind at all. Was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle. Near a supermarket too. The staff were so friendly and even gave us a free lift to the ferry port on the day we left. Tea and coffee in the room too! Would stay here again :)
