Hale Honu - 5 Star Oceanfront Home Overlooking Turtle Cove!

Perched above historic Koloa Landing, also known as Hanaka’ape Bay, Hale Honu boasts dominant bay and ocean views. Just off your private lanai is some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving the island has to offer. Giant sea turtles can be seen below swimming and sunning themselves on the rocks and during the winter months you can watch humpback whales breaching outside the reef.

Formerly known as Garden Isle Cottages Ocean Front, we are located in a quiet, coastal neighborhood nestled in tropical foliage, banana and plumeria trees. Two bedrooms and two baths plus upper and lower lounge areas and a full size kitchen make this a most comfortable home. Island casual furnishings offer comfort and functionality. Both upper and lower bedroom suites are air conditioned and identical in size. With approximately 1500 square feet of living area, this home is perfect for a small family or two couples.

On the water, quiet and wonderful, Hale Honu is simply one of the best deals around for oceanfront accommodations and also one of the most conveniently located as it is a short 5 minute walk to some of the best dining and shopping in Poipu at The Shops at Kukui’ula. 2 kings, 1 punee full size (daybed) Sleeps 4-6. AC is ONLY in bedrooms.

This property includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and umbrella. Please feel free to call us if any of these items are missing during your stay.

Great location. Easy to south, east and west coast activities. I appreciated the host checking on us via text during the stay. Despite my best tech efforts and ability to read, I couldn’t figure out the satellite TV. So I enjoyed sitting on the upper deck listening to the ocean and watching the 10 to 15 turtles swimming and soaking in the sun.

Those views! Turtle Lovers Dream. Amazing Scuba and snorkeling out the back door!

Words cannot do this place justice! The bed was beyond comfortable. The short walks to baby beach, shopping, dining, Koloa landing just a few minutes away we're amazing and yet we still felt secluded and private. We loved seeing the turtles come in and out of the cove and snorkeling and scuba out in the bay are second to none. We hope to come back again soon!

Don’t look any further….TURTLES TURTLES everywhere!!!

Words can’t do this place justice. 2 parents and 4 teenagers stayed and everyone agreed, it was our amazing stay of all our trips. The house fit our group perfect and there were 2 people per bathroom and 2 im each bedroom. The upstairs has a couch and a futon type bed. It was too small to fit 2 teenagers but one was fine sleeping on the couch. The views are AMAZING!!! You see sunrises, turtles on rocks, turtles swimming, turtles sunbathing. The outdoor space is so nice to eat at, relax at and just chill. We spent a lot of time outdoors. You can snorkel just outside the house down the stairs and baby beach is a 2 minute walk. You can walk to all the stores. The location is perfect to get to everything within 40 minutes. We will absolutely be back!!!! We would highly recommend this stay to anyone. It was absolute perfection!!!

We couldn’t have been more pleased with this stay, it was like home away from home. Property is 100% immaculate, no details were sparred. Wonderful neighborhood and easy access to amenities. We utilized the outdoor grill and enjoyed home cook meals most of our stay, all kitchen supplies made this very easy. We definitely recommend and plan to book again in the not to distant future. Wonderful stay

We loved staying at the perfectly named Hale Honu. The house is beautiful and in a great location. We watched the turtles and enjoyed using the bbq and eating meals outside. There are so many beautiful plants in the gardens and a wonderful view of the river and the ocean. Many beautiful beaches are within walking distance. We would highly recommend a stay at this house!

Hard To Say Goodbye

Hale Honu made our family getaway to Kauai a dream! The pictures do not do this house justice. It was a beautiful home and it was hard to say goodbye. We enjoyed morning coffee while watching our new friends, the sea turtles from our patio. The view from both patios was amazing. Evening drinks on the patio was even better. The beds were huge and comfortable., the kitchen was a dream to cook in and the bathrooms had amazing showers with the best water pressure. The A/C in each bedroom made our nights very comfortable. Hale Honu thank you for a wonderful getaway! Until next time!

Hale Honu Perfect Vacation Home

Pictures online do not do this property justice!! From the moment we walked through the gate our jaws dropped! So much charm. The windows and doors, the decor, the views, the sound of the waves and the constant trade winds coming through was spectacular. Waking up every morning to watch the sea turtles head out to the ocean & waiting for them each night to come back to the cove was so fun. The location was perfect and walking distance to great shops and only a mile drive to our favorite beach @ the Sheraton. We loved our stay so much, we booked it again for next year. The house was fully stocked with all the necessities. Garden Isle Rentals were wonderful and I loved their communication with us via text from the moment we landed on the island!! Mahalo!!!!!!

Best view on the island

If you enjoy watching turtles then this view will never get old. Not to mention the sound of the waves, it so soothing and you will sleep like a baby. This was our second trip to this special home over looking turtle cove. Not only is Hale Honu beautiful but it has everything you need to feel comfortable during your stay.
